Meghan Markle’s rare summer snaps appear to show they holidayed with Prince Harry’s family

After Meghan Markle shared a series of sweet holiday snaps, eagle-eyed fans spotted some people in the background.

The Duchess of Sussex shared an update to Instagram with some photos full of sunshine and smiles with Prince Harry and the children, captioned "Summer holiday".

The photos give fans a rare look at the couple's holiday, with Meghan posing by the pool with an adorable beagle as she sunbathes, as well as the lovebirds laughing over dinner.

In another adorable shot, five-year-old Lilibet is shown being thrown into a swimming pool by her dad.

One fan thought they recognised some people in the background of the photo which featured Meghan soaking up the sun with the very cute dog, and identified them as Prince Harry's relatives, Earl Charles Spencer and his wife, Dr. Cat Jarman.

"I’m so glad the Sussexes got to spend quality time with Diana’s family at Althorp! That’s Charles Spencer and his wife, Dr. Cat Jarman, in the background of one of the pictures Meghan shared," wrote one observant supporter.

"Charles Spencer and his wife sunbathing with Meghan and Harry definitely attended their wedding as i said. Take a look at them on the back of the picture Meghan posted sunbathing," added another.

Fans rushed to reply to their observations: "Wow. The FBI could use your spotting skills," gushed one.

"Great for pointing it out. Did not catch that," confessed another.

One Royal commentator, Richard Fitzwilliams, said that Earl Charles Spencer is an important 'ally' for Prince Harry in the UK, according to GB News.

The pictures appear to confirm that the couple visited Earl Spencer's Althorp estate, which is also the resting place of Princess Diana, as well as a trip to Portugal.

Fitzwilliams said: "The Sussexes have an ally in Britain which they can use as and when they choose to return."

It was the first time young Archie and Lilibet got to see the late Princess Diana's childhood home.

Prince Harry previously recalled in his memoir how he took Markle to visit his mother's grave, and shared that she 'prayed' there.

Other pictures in the round up of photos feature Archie wearing a pilot’s hat as he is shown sitting inside an aircraft cockpit, as well as some pictures of a mountain lake, cut lavender, and the family enjoying time by the sea.

Fans also noticed similarities between Markle's choice of swimwear, and the style the late Princess of Wales, Diana, always opted for.

It's given fans a view at their life behind the scenes over the summer, and many are happy that Prince Harry has his uncle on his side.
