Melania Trump's reaction to Donald Trump’s ‘winning kiss’ leaves people concerned

Melania Trump's reaction to Donald Trump’s ‘winning kiss’ leaves people concerned

Viewers have noticed something 'sad' about Donald and Melania's election celebrations.

All eyes were on Donald and Melania Trump as the couple celebrated his win in the US elections, but some viewers were left feeling awkward after one exchange.

Social media users rushed to the platform to comment when they noticed Melania offered her cheek to her husband when he went in for a celebratory smooch.

The couple were filmed at the Republican Party HQ in Florida, with some critics commenting about the 'frosty' exchange as Melania turned her face away.

Trump and Melania interact with each other so strangely… like do you guys hug and kiss off stage too or is this the first time since the last rally? Why is there no sense of familiarity?” wrote one commenter.

Another noted: “Trump goes in for a kiss with Melania. She gives him the cheek."

Some went further, speculating whether there are bigger issues in their marriage, with one X user writing: “Melania hates her husband idc, that kiss was awkward. Yho it’s a circus."

This viewer copied Trump's infamous style of writing on socials: “Even in victory Melania won't kiss Donald on the lips... SAD.”

It isn't the first time critics have questioned the chemistry of the couple, as at a rally in New York's Madison Square Garden last month it was noted again that Melania went for a more formal cheek kiss.

"She kissed in him like she was greeting her father-in-law or a friend's husband. Air kisses," noted one watcher.

Even American TV hosts have got involved, with Jimmy Kimmel making them the butt of the joke, saying that Melania's appearance was 'section 3, Subsection 2.7 of her prenuptial agreement'.

It comes after the rumour mill was swirling on election day, with conspiracy theorists convinced that Donald had hired a body double in place of Melania.

They pointed out the statement pair of oversize sunglasses that the First Lady chose to don for the event in Florida as the pair went to cast their vote.

Social media users were adamant that the sunglasses were to disguise the fact that it wasn't really Melania present.

She later removed the glasses to show photographers her face, proving it was really her.

Melania has posted on her socials in the wake of Donald's win.

She wrote: "The majority of Americans have entrusted us with this important responsibility. We will safeguard the heart of our republic – freedom.

“I anticipate the citizens of our nation rejoining in commitment to each other and rising above ideology for the sake of individual liberty, economic prosperity, and security.

"American energy, skill, and initiative will bring together our best minds to propel our nation forward forevermore."
