In a blindsiding political rarity, Donald Trump was heard this week issuing a compliment about his presidential predecessor, Joe Biden.
During a catch-up in the White House yesterday (14 Oct) with Argentinian counterpart Javier Milei, the Republican leader gushed over the Democrat's physique in a remark nobody present could have possibly anticipated.
As a reminder, Trump and Biden have been at logger-heads for almost a decade now, with the latter - who previously served as Barack Obama's right-hand man - famously voicing criticism during the former's debut Oval Office stint in 2016.

By 2020, the tides had turned for Trump, and Biden was elected as the United States' 46th president.
Unsurprisingly, the right-wing leader wasn't going to take the 'L' lying down, however, and spent the following four years claiming the election was 'stolen' from him, and inciting the Capitol riot that took place on 6 January 2021.
Throughout his term in power, Biden was ceaselessly attacked by Trump over his age, his health and his mental stability, famously being nicknamed 'Sleepy Joe' by the former businessman.
The Republican also took aim at the Democrat's policies, branding him 'soft' on crime, blaming him rising inflation, high gas prices, and increased cost of living, attacking his 'open borders' with regards to immigration, and condemning his handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal.

Somehow, in the the midst of his fiery tirade against Biden, Trump was able to secure political influence in the US once again, controversially coming out on top during last year's presidential election against the leftie's former VP, Kamala Harris.
Despite re-entering the White House earlier this year, the father-of-five seemingly refused to let bygones be bygones with regards to his beef with Biden, and used every opportunity to slander his presidential term.

That is, however, until this week, when Trump suddenly changed his tune on Biden.

As we say, whilst hosting the Argentine president on Tuesday, Trump was asked whether he'd ever visit the South American hotspot anytime soon, after which he gave the Democrat a special shout out.
Whilst arguably a backhanded compliment, the Republican claimed he'd 'love to' take a trip to Buenos Aires, but had been too busy, going on to praise Biden's impressive stature in comparison to his own, all the while playfully shading the father-of-four for his propensity for vacationing.
"I'd love to go to Argentina," Trump laughed in footage which has since gone viral online. "I'd like to be like Biden. I'd like to go to the beach."
Whilst self-deprecating, he went on to quip: "My legs are not quite as thin as his. My legs are slightly heavier. My arms are slightly larger. My body is a little bit larger than his. I'm not sure it would be appreciated on the beach, but I'm not going to take a chance.

"You won't see me in a bathing suit."

As we say, Trump's somewhat romantic remark about his political 'frenemy' has come as a shock to onlookers.
"That might be the nicest thing he’s said about Biden," one noted on X (formerly Twitter).

Another agreed, adding: "I think this is the first nice thing I’ve ever heard him say about Biden and it’s just weird."
A third seemingly wanted to double-check: "Is this the first good thing he’s said about Biden?"
