Lip reader reveals what Donald Trump and Barack Obama said at Jimmy Carter's funeral

Obama and Trump were seen laughing together but a lip reader reckons all is not what it seems

Yesterday marked the funeral of former US president Jimmy Carter and, despite their vastly opposing views and values, Barack Obama and Donald Trump were at one point seen chatting while seated together at the service.

Now, a licensed lip-reader claims they've determined exactly what the duo were talking about, claiming their laughter was actually a guise to soften the blow of some much more serious topics of conversation.

The 44th and 45th presidents of the United States have famously never seen eye-to-eye.

During his term in office, republican leader Trump accused former Democratic representative Obama as having ordered FBI officers to 'spy' on his campaign.

Since his departure from the White House, however, Obama has frequently teased Trump - an example being discussing the father-of-five's 'weird obsession with crowd sizes' holding his hands around four inches apart, seemingly poking fun at his manhood.

And back in October, he teased Trump's lengthy speeches, describing him as 'like Fidel Castro - just on and on'.

Naturally, therefore, spectators were baffled to see the pair sharing laughs while sitting shoulder to shoulder at Carter's funeral.

Forensic lip-reader Jeremy Freeman has since analysed the footage of the pair, and believes he's at least figured out the nature of their conversation.

Speaking to the New York Post, Freeman began by noting the pair were likely discussing international agreements.

He believes president-elect Trump warned Obama that they should 'find a quiet place' to discuss the 'matter of importance' later on during the day, away from the hundreds of cameras facing them.

Freeman adds that, at one point, it looks as though Trump leans towards Obama and tells him: "I’ve pulled out of that. It’s the conditions. Can you imagine that?".

Could this have been a reference to Obama's 2015 Iran nuclear deal that Trump famously withdrew from? Or the 2016 Paris Climate Agreement he rejected during his first term as president?

That much is still unclear - though, Freeman says Obama then laughs, as Trump is seen telling him: "And after, I will."

The TV camera then cut away from the pair, who themselves were sat between former first lady Laura Bush, and Trump's 54-year-old wife Melania, before returning to them.

Trump then apparently tells Obama, 'Call me at the foy after, yep,', a potential reference to the foyer of the National Cathedral, where the service was held.

Freeman believes Obama says something like, 'Can you just...', and 'It should be good'.

He says Trump then replies: "I can’t talk, we have to find a quiet place sometime.

"This is a matter of importance and we need to do this outside so that we can deal with it, certainly, today."

Obama then nods, before telling Trump, 'Listen to me, it’s a chore, a chore' - context of which Freeman can't quite determine.

Nevertheless, Trump supposedly replies: "Yeah, right. I can’t think of anything that’s a chore."
