Barack Obama hits Donald Trump with scathing Halloween-related blow in unexpectedly heated speech

The 44th President of the United States has been hailed as 'the man' this week for publicly likening Donald Trump's second stint in the White House to spooky season, claiming 'every day is like Halloween'.

Attending a Democratic rally in Norfolk, Virginia on Saturday (November 1) to show his support for left-leaning gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger, Barack Obama began by confessing not even he could have predicted the situation in modern-day American under the Republican's rule being this bleak.

"It's not as if we didn’t see some of this coming," he told attendees. "I will admit it’s worse than even I expected. But I did warn y’all."

Continuing, the 64-year-old reeled off some of Trump's biggest controversies of the last 10 months, kicking off with his alleged financial dealings with a convicted cryptocurrency tycoon.

Accusing Trump, 79, of putting his 'billionaire pals and finance bros' first, Obama asked attendees: "Is the economy working better for you? Because it sure has gotten better for Trump and his family."

He continued: "Since he’s been in office, the whole crypto business and other ventures have made hundreds of millions of dollars. Including from foreign nationals and rich folks investing because they want to stay in the President's good graces."

As we say, however, Obama has received mass praise from his supporters online for including a somewhat seasonal insult in his savage rant.

"It's like every day is Halloween," the former politician jibed. "Except it's all tricks and no treats."

Commending him over his comments, one YouTube subscriber gushed: "Obama is still the GOAT ['greatest of all time'] in oration."

Another went on to tease: "Obama is a man who has conviction. Trump is a man who has many convictions."

"Thank you President Obama for standing up for sanity," a third continued.

"PRESIDENT Obama, the greatest leader this country saw in the post-modern era," wrote another.

A fifth added: "President Obama is the man. He's an amazing intelligent caring friendly man. Trump could never measure up."

Elsewhere, the right-wing leader's recent $300,000,000 White House 'renovations' came under fire from Obama - days after Trump both debuted his new gold-leaf bathroom on social media, and paved over the presidential residence's much-loved Rose Garden.

"He has been focused on critical issues like paving over the Rose Garden so folks don’t get mud on their shoes," the father-of-two hit out. "And gold-plating the Oval Office and building a $300 million ballroom."

Obama also commented on the AI-generated video Trump shared last month, in which he appeared to be dumping excrement on those involved in the 'No Kings' protests that took place in small towns and cities on 18 October.

"And all the nonsense we see on the news every day, the over-the-top rhetoric," he continued.

"The fabricated conspiracies, the weird videos of a U.S. president with a crown on his head flying a fighter jet and dumping poop on protesting citizens."

Describing Trump's social media uploads as attempts to 'distract' from serious faults, Obama went on to suggest: "They do it so you won’t notice that while they’re helping the wealthiest, most powerful people in the country consolidate more wealth and more power, your bills are still going up."
