A body language expert has directly addressed a viral conspiracy theory about why Charlie Kirk tilted his head to the right after being fatally shot.
Many supporters of the right-wing activist, who was shot in the neck while speaking to a crowd at Utah Valley University in Orem last Wednesday (10 September), will no doubt be outraged over any speculation surrounding Kirk's death.
Footage from the 31-year-old's assassination, which has been widely shared across social media, shows Kirk tilting his head to the right after he was shot.
And it's this exact movement which has led some internet sleuths to theorise that the shooter was to Kirk's right, right next to the conservative activist.

However, body language and persuasion expert Jesús Enrique Rosas has since uploaded a lengthy YouTube video arguing against such a theory.

He began: "Well, I couldn't imagine that I had to make this video analysis, but I've been sent this clip like hundreds of times through every channel telling me, 'So the real shooter was to the right, right next to Charlie Kirk, right there in front of our very eyes'."
Rosas went on to explain that the reason Kirk's head tilts to the right rather than the left after being shot can be understood from the perspective of how the body reacts to the trauma of a bullet wound.

The body language expert explained that Charlie's head tilts to the right due to the position of the bullet's entry, arguing that if the shooter had been to the victim's right then the bullet would have entered the body from that side, and Charlie's head would have likely tilted to his left (toward the side of the wound) in a more typical reaction to the shot.
But, since Charlie's head is instead tilted to the right, this suggests that the bullet might have entered from a different angle, possibly from the left or a more forward position, rather than from the right.
The body will have instinctively reacted to the impact - something which could have resulted in the head jerking or tilting away from the wound.

Therefore, the expert notes, in this case, Charlie's rightward tilt would indicate that the bullet's path didn’t align with the expected trajectory from a shooter on his right side.
"When someone is shot, their body may also react in unexpected ways due to the shock and impact," VT adds.
"The head tilting in this instance could be a combination of how the body absorbs the trauma of the bullet wound and how it tries to protect vital areas, often leading to an instinctive movement away from the source of pain."
