People are just realising the true meaning behind Barron Trump's name

Barron Trump is the youngest - and seemingly tallest - of the Trump clan, and his name holds a lot of history

Barron Trump has received a lot of publicity since his dad’s second presidency campaign, and now, a little-known fact about his name has surfaced.

It’s no surprise that the youngest Trump is receiving a lot of press, especially since he became more active in his father’s efforts to take over the White House again.

As the last child of Donald Trump, Barron has been of interest to many people, who wonder what he’s like, who he is and what his plan for the future is.

Like many prestigious people, he's been born into a family that has mega wealth, and power is a big deal.

But when that same family goes on to rule the US, you’d expect those in the family to fit the part - particularly their name.

Well, Barron’s name is certainly interesting, and its meaning is exactly as you’d expect it to be.

When Trump and Melania introduced Barron’s name on an appearance of The Oprah Winfrey Show, the pair also revealed her pregnancy.

It was there that Trump suggested Barron as a name, explaining: "It was a name I always loved, but I never had the courage to use.”

In a 2006 interview with People, Trump shared how he didn’t expect Melania to become pregnant so soon after their wedding a year prior.

"I expected we were going to have children, so I wasn't totally surprised," he said. "But I was surprised by the speed of it. It happened very quickly."

However, he did begin to doubt the name for his future son, but Melania was strict about keeping Barron as their son’s name, as she had been ‘calling him Barron while he's been in my stomach.’

So, why did they choose Barron of all names and what does it mean?

According to Michael D'Antonio, the author of 2015’s The Truth About Trump, it could be a nod to hotelier Barron Hilton.

After conducting business with Hilton in the 80s, Trump later wrote in his book, The Art of the Deal: "Barron is a member of what I call the Lucky Sperm Club. He was born wealthy and bred to be an aristocrat, and he is one of those guys who never had to prove anything to anyone."

According to The Bump, the name Barron means 'nobleman' and is often associated with sovereignty and stature.

But it's not just his name that people seem interested in but the teen's rather impressive height too.

Barron is reportedly a staggering 6 feet 7 inches - a whole four inches taller than his dad.

And, according to the Irish Star, there's a very clear reason behind his huge stature.

The outlet reports that Barron is so tall due to his diet growing up after being prepared meals by his grandmother, Melania's late mother, Amalia Knavs.

Trump revealed on the Impaulsive podcast: "That's how he got so tall; he only ate her food.

"I said you're gonna be a basketball player. He said, well, 'I like soccer, Dad, actually'. I thought... 'at your height, I like basketball better', but you can't talk them into everything."
