A disturbing video encouraging ‘freedom fighters’ to assassinate Melania Trump has been released by Iranian media.

The clip, published by one of the country’s state-run media outlets, includes places that the First Lady of the United States is known to visit, such as luxury shops, and potential vulnerabilities in her security.

It shares instructions on how militants could take out the wife of President Donald Trump and even includes a threat directed at their son Barron.

The video was released by the Tasnim News Agency, which is a publication associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). It begins by showing a depiction of the First Lady’s profile drawn in blood, alongside the words: "Where to kill Melania?!"

The Tasnim News Agency claims to have compiled the information in the video from 'several anonymous security networks and satellite images', however the information is seemingly all publicly available.

The rest of the video includes English subtitles and alleges that the Secret Service refer to Melania by the codename 'Muse'. It then claims that her love for fashion could prove to be fatal.

"Melania's obsession with fashion has become her biggest weakness," it states. "Melania has a special interest in luxury department stores on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, such as Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue.

"These places could be suitable for operations by global freedom fighters," it adds.

The clip then explains how radicals can pick up on 'signs' that Melania might be visiting these locations in advance, so they 'can be prepared for the operation'. This includes public bins being removed from street corners to 'prevent the placement of explosive devices', while claiming 'manhole covers and underground drains are completely welded shut'.

The video goes on to suggest paying staff at these stores to 'poison the clothes' with a 'nerve agent'.

It also adds that waving 'large sums of money' at her stylists could 'tempt' them to assist in an assassination plot.

The clip ends with the warning: "This is just the beginning. Barron Trump, wait for us!"

Tyla has approached the Pentagon and the White House for comment.

The threat comes after a billboard displaying an image of a deceased Trump was displayed in the Iranian capital in what appeared to be a chilling threat to the US president.

It showed Trump - who first launched a joint missile attack on Iran with Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu in February, which escalated to a full-fledged conflict in the Middle East - lying in a coffin.

The image was installed in Islamic Revolution Square by Iranian citizens days following the statewide funeral of the country's late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who Trump and Netanyahu killed in their first round of drone attacks.
