Brian Laundrie's Sister Shares Final Text Message With Gabby Petito

Gabby’s body was found on Sunday 19th September.

The sister of Brian Laundrie has shared her final correspondence with Gabby Petito before she was found dead.

Sharing the post with American breakfast show, Good Morning America, Cassie Laundrie revealed she had been texting with Gabby, 22, as she was at the rocks when the pair of them were at the Arches.

The texts saw Gabby and Cassie discuss Cassie’s children who had just started school.

“Oh my gosh, I can’t believe school started already!” Gabby writes. “Haha, I saw your post on Instagram. So cute! Send me the picture of the boys to show Brian! Lol and I love their backpacks too.

“We’re in arches right now so we don’t have be [sic] best WiFi, but we did send you some mail.”

Cassie replied: “Hopefully these pics come through then. They had a great fay, loved school! Can’t wait to go back tomorrow. Happy boys.”

Cassie also discussed checking the mail for postcards Gabby had sent.

In postcards that Gabby also sent to Cassie and her children, the influencer told a story of finding the ‘fattest squirrel’ she’d ever seen while out travelling, before signing off as ‘Aunt Gabby’.

In a second postcard, Gabby wrote: “Uncle Brian and I miss you so much! Everywhere we go reminds us of you, like the Red Rocks at the Bryce Canyon!” before talking about the stars they saw.

Gabby was found dead on September 19th in a remote national park in Wyoming. Brian has since gone missing, with the FBI marking him as a “person of interest” in the case.

The law enforcement agency have also issued a warrant for Brian’s arrest, after they claimed Brian committed bank card fraud while Gabby was missing.

A memorial was held for Gabby over the weekend, with her father, Joseph, giving an emotional speech.

“I don't want you guys to be sad, to be honest with you," Joe said. "Gabby did not live that way.

“If there is a relationship that you’re in that might not be the best thing for you, leave it now. Take care of yourself first.

“I would like you to take a look at these videos [of Gabby's road-trip] and I want you to be inspired by them. If there’s a trip you guys want to take, take it now.

“Gabby is the most amazing person I’ve ever met,” he concluded. “So, if you’re going to leave here today, I’m asking that you guys be inspired by the way she treated people, all people.

“The entire planet knows this woman’s name."
