
The body of a girl found in singer d4vd's car has been identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
Celeste had been missing since 5 April 2024 and was last seen in Lake Elsinore in California when she was 13 years old.
In a shocking and horrific tragedy, her remains were found dismembered in the trunk of the vehicle after a strong smell was reported by employees at a tow lot in Hollywood.
Updates have been released following the appalling incident, with an investigation now underway.

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating Celeste's death.
A cause of death has not yet been established, though her body has been identified by police.

In a statement released to the press, the LAPD confirmed that no suspects or persons of interests have been named by authorities at present.
However, police did confirm that they are treating Celeste's death as a homicide.
The statement said: "The Los Angeles Police Department that Celeste Rivas Hernandez has been identified as the juvenile who was reported missing from Lake Elsinore. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating this incident as a homicide and will be the point of contact for any further details regarding this investigation."
Who was Celeste?
Celeste was reported missing in April last year, and police have since confirmed that the body found in the trunk was hers.

The 15-year-old grew up in Lake Elsinore, and neighbours said that they believed she had run away.
Residents were shocked by the appalling circumstances surrounding her death.
As per Fox 11, one neighbour said: "She was a good student, a happy child."
Celeste's death has shocked the community, with the neighbour saying she had picked up her own son from school after 'he called her crying'.
What happened with the car?

The car, a Tesla, had been impounded and towed to an 'official police garage' by the Department of Transportation after being spotted 'parked on a public street for more than 72 hours'.
Investigators have said that the vehicle was parked in the location for almost a month and was found on Bluebird Avenue.
Celeste's remains were discovered in the car's boot on 8 September after staff at the car impound complained of a strong smell emanating from the vehicle.
Police arrived and her body was discovered wrapped in a plastic bag.

Following the discovery d4vd, real name David Anthony Burke, cancelled a show in Seattle which was part of his Withered tour, and it is not known at present if the tour will continue.
Police have not commented on any potential connection between d4vd and Celeste, and TMZ reported that he was co-operating with investigators.
D4vd has not been named as a suspect or person of interest by authorities.
