No matter your opinions on astrology - you can't deny it's pretty interesting.

And, if you're anything like me, it's always fun to check in with the stars each month and have a look at what your horoscope predicts for the days ahead.

However, you may have been reading your horoscope wrong this entire time as how to actually tell what your real zodiac sign is has been revealed.

Now, many of us have been led to believe there are 12 zodiac signs in total; Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.

However, there's actually one more and this 13th zodiac sign means that it's actually most likely that you’re the star sign before the one you think you are.

Don't worry if that's all a bit confusing for you, believe us - it's a big one to wrap your head around.

OK so, all star signs are signs of the zodiac AKA constellations on the ecliptic which is a line in the sky that the Sun appears to follow.

And, there aren't actually 12 constellations in total but 13.

But, not to worry, as per Forbes, we've penned down all the signs of the zodiac - including the elusive 13th one, along with their traditional dates and the actual dates that the Sun is within their boundaries every single year.

Ophiuchus

Sandwiched right between Scorpio and Sagittarius lies the 13th sign - Ophiuchus.

Now, there's a whole lot of historical space explanation for why the dates are all out of whack but, for now, the main thing you need to know is that the Sun basically enters the Ophiuchus constellation during the time we've traditionally thought was the Sagittarius constellation.

So, next time you're wanting to find out how the full moon will affect your personal star sign or how July will look for love life depending on the zodiac - you may want to bear in mind you may be reading it all wrong.
