A mother and son have shocked the world after coming clean about their relationship.

The 53-year-old woman, Russian musician Aisylu Chizhevskaya Mingalim, tied the knot to her 22-year-old adopted son, Daniel Chizhevsky, last week and has since shared the moment she knew there was a 'spark' between them

The said their nuptials in a ceremony at a restaurant in Kazan, Tatarstan Republic, Russia, last Friday (20 October) and horrified child welfare experts all over.

Aisylu is the adopted mother to four little girls and one other boy, and is also the biological mother to a son from an earlier marriage, as well as Daniel.

Daniel was adopted by his now-wife when he was just 14 years old while he was temporarily residing in an orphanage the year prior, with Aisylu having offered to give the youngster singing lessons.

She has now revealed the exact moment she first felt a connection with Daniel, saying the romance sparked when she took him home after adopting him.

"Our relationship is perfect," Aisylu told local media. "We can't live without each other."

She also added: "We are on the same wavelength."

Child welfare services seized Aisylu's five other adopted children, leaving her forced to flee from their small hometown to the Russian capital of Moscow.

Aisylu is reportedly fighting the authorities on the matter, after some of her children were placed back into care homes, while others were returned to their biological family members.

Aisylu said she first felt the spark with Daniel after she took him home from the orphanage.

The marital union between the pair sparked controversy in the Republic of Tatarstan, with some sceptics calling Chizhevskaya-Mingalim a 'disgrace' to the country.

She insists her relationship with Daniel is perfectly legal and certainly consensual, despite her now-husband having come under her care when he was just a teenager and having raised him for the last eight years.

Local media also reports that the doting wife first expressed an interest in becoming an adoptive mother after encountering orphans during a film project with a Tatarstan TV station.

She now plans to flee Tartarstan to set up a new life with her beau Daniel, who is a total of 31 years her junior.
