Social media careers can be extremely lucrative, with data suggesting that more than half (57 percent) of young people want to be have a career in influencing these days.

And while not everyone can make the big leagues, one TikToker who has successfully catapulted herself to fame is Australia’s Leah Halton.

The 25-year-old, who competed on the first season of the Sidemen reality programme, Inside, currently holds the record for the most-liked TikTok video in history.

The quick clip spans just 12 seconds and sees the social media star lip-syncing to YG Marley’s ‘Praise Jah in the Moonlight’.

Since knocking Bella Poarch off the top spot, Halton’s video has amassed more than 1.3 billion views.

She shared an inverted version of the video with her fans on its two-year anniversary, and that one has racked up 146.6 million views and counting.

Halton has continued to go viral, favouring lip-sync videos taken in her car, alongside posting content from Coachella.

She also shares fashion, makeup tips and allows fans intimate glimpses into her life.

In April, she attended WrestleMania 42, where she captured IShowSpeed on video performing a splash onto WWE wrestler Logan Paul through the announce table.

The model, who boasts 16 million followers on TikTok and four million on Instagram, is apparently raking in the cash online.

Influencer insight app Hafi claimed that across all her platforms, the Aussie made between $3.1 and $4.6 million (£2.3-3.4m) across 2025.

LADbible reported that the figures are calculated from a combination of audience size, engagement time and various platform-specific metrics.

So while the sums aren’t 100 percent verified, it does give you somewhat of an insight into how much money you could make by posting and sharing similar content online.

Hafi estimated that Halton’s earnings have fluctuated across the last six months and are subject to views on monotised videos alongside sponsorship videos.

The lowest she allegedly took home in one month was $83,640 (£61,810).

If you consider the average annual wage of a UK resident is £32,890 (via Sage), then that’s really not bad going, right?

And the most she earned in a single month? A cool $266,720 (£197,107), apparently.

So, in a nutshell: if Halton hadn’t posted the viral lip-syncing video back in 2024, then she may not have began experience six-figure months as quickly as she has done.

The TikTok favourite, who was recently a guest on Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, revealed that she gets a lot of unsolicited messages from people in her past since she started being ‘internet famous’,

"All of these people that haven't spoken to me in quite a while started reaching out and being like 'Oh my God'," she said.

She also revealed that she has ‘stonewalled’ anyone who has tried to strike up a romantic relationship with her since finding virality.
