Celebrity plastic surgeon, Dr Terry Dubrow has spoken about the positive impact Ozempic can have on your nether regions.

Usually when someone comes out to talk about the side-effects of using drugs to aid weight loss, it’s not always positive.

From 'Ozempic vulva', to ‘Ozempic butt’, it seems like anytime we hear the word Ozempic in front of a body part, something is going wrong.

However, Dr Dubrow, who is no stranger to the human body, has revealed that ‘Ozempic penis’ is something to feel good about.

Ozempic is intended to treat type 2 diabetes, but has been used by celebrities and the public to shed unwanted pounds, along with other GLP-1 drugs.

But some users noticed that their downstairs parts began to change along with the rest of their bodies.

So then came alleged cases of ‘Ozempic vulva’ and ‘Ozempic penis’.

Famous celebrity surgeon Dr Dubrow and his wife Heather have since talked about the latter side effect, after having discussed vulvas in a separate interview, and said it’s a ‘good’ thing for penises.

He shared on the Between Us podcast on 24 November that it can help men who have a certain appearance.

Initially saying the side effect 'is a thing', he asked his wife what he thought the term meant, with the Real Housewives of Orange County star stating: “I’m gonna say it is trouble getting hard.”

The 67-year-old doctor then told her that Ozempic penis is when people using the semaglutide drug have a penis that ‘looks bigger’ as part of a side effect.

He explained on the episode: “What happens when you gain a lot of weight to the exposure of the penis? It’s kind of a buried penis syndrome.

“You hear of the very, very obese men. They haven’t seen their penis in a long time because the pubic area is so chunky.”

He added: “You’re not more of a grower, but you’re definitely more of a shower with Ozempic penis. So congratulations.”

As for Heather, she didn’t forget their conversation about Ozempic vulvas, and quipped: “So women on Ozempic get screwed and men on Ozempic get a bigger looking penis.”

As for users, they too have shared that they like this penile side effect, having started a whole discussion about it on Reddit to talk about the impact on their genitals.

As for whether this is a known side effect, Tyla previously spoke to Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of Wegovy and Ozempic about ‘Ozempic penis’ and they revealed that bigger penises are not ‘recognised in the labels for medicines’, stating: “Patient safety is of the utmost importance to Novo Nordisk, and we recommend patients take these medications for their approved indications and under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

"We continuously collect safety data on our marketed GLP-1 medicines and work closely with the authorities to ensure patient safety. As part of this work, we continue to monitor reports of adverse drug reactions through routine pharmacovigilance.

“We recommend that any patient experiencing side effects while taking GLP-1s, including Wegovy®▼and Ozempic® (semaglutide injection), report them to their healthcare provider and via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme: https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/. .”
