A man who used the popular drug Wegovy for weight loss noted something changed down below.

The rise in popularity of weight loss drugs has been happening for years now, with many celebrities confessing to using them to shed the pounds.

Wegovy comes in the form of an injection that you use on your thigh, abdomen, or upper arm, once a week.

The GLP-1 medication mimics the hormone released from the digestive tract to lower blood sugar and helps to make you feel more full.

Users of weight loss drugs such as Wegovy and Mounjaro, along with those who use type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic for weight loss, have reported a number of side effects (some more unpleasant than others).

These include Ozempic face, Ozempic hands, giving users a saggy bottom and more - but one man isn’t complaining about his side effect.

A Brit who wishes to remain anonymous, going by the name James, spoke to Metro about his experience with the drug.

The 55-year-old told the outlet that he needed to be pushed as he found dieting to be the ‘most painful, boring thing in the world’.

He’d also heard a lot about Ozempic, so after completing his own research, he decided to give Wegovy a go.

James, a semi-professional sportsman, found himself eating and drinking out of boredom after stepping back from his activities last year.

Even though he was exercising each day, the scales began to climb.

Six month ago, he started taking Wegovy, stating it’s a ‘miracle drug’ because of the transformation he saw, though James admitted he ‘lied’ on the application form to make sure he qualified to receive it.

When he was able to do so, he began to feel the effects immediately and no longer felt the same cravings.

But one thing did change in James, and that’s his sex life.

James admitted he’s having ‘better sex’ as a result of the drug, explaining: “If you have an impulsive drive for sex, it would affect that.

“But I have a normal sexual appetite, so actually it’s made me enjoy sex more because I’m not as self-conscious of my body and I’ve got more energy.”

Not only is his sex life better, but James thinks his penis is bigger too because of Wegovy.

He said: “If anything, my penis looks bigger, because you lose body fat around it and your overall mass gets smaller.

“It’s like when you shave your bush and it makes it look bigger.”

As for whether this is a known side effect, Tyla spoke to Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of Wegovy.

They said that bigger penises are not ‘recognised in the labels for medicines’, stating: “Patient safety is of the utmost importance to Novo Nordisk, and we recommend patients take these medications for their approved indications and under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

"We continuously collect safety data on our marketed GLP-1 medicines and work closely with the authorities to ensure patient safety. As part of this work, we continue to monitor reports of adverse drug reactions through routine pharmacovigilance.

“We recommend that any patient experiencing side effects while taking GLP-1s, including Wegovy®▼and Ozempic® (semaglutide injection), report them to their healthcare provider and via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme: https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/. .”
