When it comes to dating apps, bad dates are par for the course.

But one woman had an extra unusual reminder of her ill-fated link up.

Luna Ray, from the US, revealed that her date left a hidden message underneath her toilet seat that would serve as a warning to other prospective boyfriends.

It was written in red lipstick too, as if that first part wasn't crazy enough.

So you could say that the 23-year-old had a bad date.

What did this charming message say?

'She is f**king her ex, RUN!', alongside his phone number.

The video, which was shared to TikTok, shows Luna desperately trying to clean the lipstick off her toilet while her friends laugh hysterically.

In a follow-up video, Luna explained what went down.

She said: "I invited this guy out to the bar with a group of my friends - I said, 'Meet at my house and we can all [catch an] Uber together'.

Luna Ray opened up about what went wrong on the date.

"Immediately he rubs me the wrong way... I don't know, he just seemed kind of insecure.

"In order to spare his feelings I make up a story about not being over my ex-boyfriend and how I felt uncomfortable going on a Hinge date."

It was at this point, Luna had to tell him to get moving. But before he parted, he left a message in her loo.

The next day, Luna received the warning from her housemate about the vandalised toilet seat.

Since being uploaded to the video sharing platform, users have weighed in with their thoughts on the incident.

Many guys even applauded the date for taking the initiative, claiming he was 'looking out for them'.

"I believe him," one user commented, while another said: "Bro was looking out for us, that's king behaviour."

"Homie has our best interest in mind," a third asserted.

A fourth commented: "We need his side of the story."

However, others piped up to defend Luna.

One sympathised with her plight, writing: "I'm so glad I don't have to date anymore."

The TikTok divided opinions.

"In your lipstick!! He needs a bill in the mail bc makeup ain't cheap," another fumed.

"Love it or hate it, that's funny," a third admitted, while one user wrote: "That comment section was CRAZY girl. I'm so sorry."

No matter which side of the debate you fall on, surely we can agree on something - maybe we shouldn't vandalise somebody's toilet seat?

Or that we shouldn't use somebody's lipstick?

How about that we don't go psycho when somebody says they're just not interested in you?

All sound good to me.
