There are a whole bunch of peeps out there who want their happily ever after with their beloved other half.

However, not everyone makes it all the way - with many couples calling it quits for a plethora of reasons.

From money problems and family drama all the way through to jealous exes and bedroom blunders - it's clear that relationships take work.

So, in order to help remedy a major problem in the romance department, a sexpert has issued her warning for any couples who ignore one thing in their relationship.

Nadia Bokody, a sex coach and columnist, has urged individuals to confront the 'elephant in the room' head-on if you ever sense a storm brewing in your relationship.

Taking to Instagram, the expert advised: "If you want to ensure that your marriage fails or that your relationship doesn't last the test of time, simply ignore sexlessness. Don't talk about it, sweep it under the rug and hope it just fixes itself.

"A lack of physical intimacy is one of the most commonly cited reasons for divorce."

She warned: "When we lose that, we start to lose the bond that we have with our partner.

"It causes disconnection, loneliness and ultimately that breeds resentment."

Now, while this isn't the case for every couple, a sure-fire indication to how well a relationship is doing is by how active they are in the boudoir.

And, namely, how often you're both being - ahem - satisfied between the sheets.

Sexpert Katie Flowers revealed to the New York Post exactly how to tell if your sexual partner is faking an orgasm.

She explained: "At the core of every meaningful relationship lies a foundation of honesty and vulnerability.

"Fake orgasms not only erode this foundation but also perpetuate a cycle of misunderstanding and dissatisfaction."

Katie also mentioned the importance of 'intuition' if you're suspicious, continuing: "Don’t underestimate the power of your intuition.

"If something feels off, it probably is. Trust your gut instincts to guide you toward genuine moments of pleasure."

She added: "Genuine pleasure is marked by authenticity and spontaneity," pointing to the importance of a 'natural and unscripted experience'.
