As well as shedding unwanted pounds and helping to get conditions such as diabetes under control, some men have found an unexpected side effect to using weight loss jabs.

Dr Terry Dubrow is a celebrity plastic surgeon, and he's shared some of the more X-rated benefits men can experience thanks to the jab. Unlike 'Ozempic vulva' - which isn't a good thing - 'Ozempic penis' has got people cheering from the rooftops.

While many women have reported experiencing dryness and less lubrication due to a drop in oestrogen, many men have reported 'Ozempic penis' - where they say they look, well, bigger, since taking the jabs.

Whether it's Ozempic or Wegovy, these men have become more confident following weight loss and the surprising discovery.

Dr Dubrow revealed: "There’s a new Ozempic-related disorder - Ozempic penis, it is a thing.”

Speaking on their Between Us podcast on 24 November, his wife, co-host and Real Housewives of Orange County Heather had a guess: “I’m gonna say that it has trouble getting hard.”

Dr Dubrow then explained what it really means: “No, so what happens when you gain a lot of weight, you lose exposure of the penis.

“It's kind of a buried penis syndrome. You hear some very, very obese men, they haven't seen their penis in a long time because the pubic area is so chunky, and the surrounding tissue overlaps.”

“Men, I want to inform you that Ozempic penis is a thing, and it’s good", said the doctor.

Essentially, as you lose fat, your penis may look bigger in proportion to your body - but, sorry to say, you're not actually gaining inches, it's just perspective. If you've got really small hands holding a pint, the pint will look bigger; it's the same logic.

Heather joked that there would now be a crowd of men 'rushing' to get the jabs. However, she added how unfair it is for women that so many of the side effects for them are negative.

“Isn’t that so typical, for women, it sucks, and for men it’s a bonus. That is so typical. Wow. So, women on Ozempic get screwed and men on Ozempic get more show.”

Terry broke it down further: “You're not more of a grower, but you're definitely more of a shower with Ozempic penis. So congratulations.”

“I really haven’t been paying close attention, since you’re on Mounjaro, I'm surprised you haven’t shown me," Heather joked about her husband's anatomy.

Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of Wegovy and Ozempic said that bigger penises are not ‘recognised in the labels for medicines’.

They confirmed: "Patient safety is of the utmost importance to Novo Nordisk, and we recommend patients take these medications for their approved indications and under the supervision of a healthcare professional."

"We continuously collect safety data on our marketed GLP-1 medicines and work closely with the authorities to ensure patient safety. As part of this work, we continue to monitor reports of adverse drug reactions through routine pharmacovigilance.

“We recommend that any patient experiencing side effects while taking GLP-1s, including Wegovy®▼and Ozempic® (semaglutide injection), report them to their healthcare provider and via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme: https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/. .”
