Remember when Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries just 72 days after tying the knot? Well, this bride has given Kardashian a run for her money.

The couple from Kuwait, Middle East, reportedly broke the record of Kuwait's shortest marriage after supposedly divorcing three minutes after saying their 'I dos'.

A couple are said to have had their wedding annulled before even leaving the court house.

The unnamed pair had their wedding but the bride was left fuming after her husband called her 'stupid' after she tripped up.

The bride (understandably) wasn't best pleased about his remarks and demanded the judge annul their marriage there and then - to which they did.

The incident happened in 2019 and, at the time, the bride received some sympathy online.

"If this is how he acts right at the beginning, it's better to leave him," one X - formerly Twitter - user wrote.

Another went on: "'A marriage with no respect, is a failed one right from the beginning."

The bride was left unimpressed by her groom's 'stupid' remark.

While this Kuwaiti couple very obviously takes the (wedding) cake when it comes to short-lived weddings, Britney Spears has also had her own extremely short marriage.

Spears, who has recently split from her third husband Sam Asghari, was first married to her childhood friend, Jason Alexander.

The pair wed in Las Vegas in 2004 when Spears was 22, but they called time on their marriage 55 hours later.

According to Alexander, it was the 'Womanizer' hitmaker's idea to wed.

"She was like, 'Well, let's get married,' and I was like, 'Sure. You know, let's do this,'" he previously recalled to ABC News.

"I went with my feelings. I was in love with her. I feel like she felt the same way.

"I had obviously got my feelings involved. That was probably the hardest part about it."

As to why their marriage was annulled so quickly, Spears said afterwards that she was 'being silly, being rebellious, and not really taking the responsibility for what [she] was doing'.

She had told E! News: "So it was one of those things that were really silly...and after partying, you know, you really don't think about what you're doing.

"I think I was running away from something, I didn't quite know what."

However, Alexander claimed the marriage was annulled following pressure from Spears' parents and her management team.

Alexander and Spears have not remained friends. The pop princess has a three-year restraining order against her ex after he gatecrashed her wedding last summer.
