Salma Hayek recently revealed that she never signed a prenup with her billionaire husband, admitting she has a desire for 'more' money.

When Salma married her husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, 15 years ago, she was accused of doing so for his mountain of wealth.

According to Forbes, her husband, 62, is worth a staggering $20.6 billion, making him the 99th richest person in the world.

Despite this, Salma has revealed that the married couple never got a prenup in 2009 when they got wed.

In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Salma opened up why their relationship didn't require a prenup.

The Mexican-born actor, 58, said: "I support a lot of the aspects of my life and myself.

"I have the pressure to make a certain amount of money, and I like it.

"And now, I decided, I want to make more."

Both were born into copious amounts of wealth, as Salma's father was an oil executive.

Meanwhile, Pinault inherited the luxury retail group in 2005.

When Salma married the businessman, she noticed how her conversations with friends became heavily money dominated - which she didn't expect to happen.

The House of Gucci star said: "To me, the excitement about having a lot of money was that I didn’t have to think about money, and it turned out all people wanted to talk to me about was money.

"Strangers coming to me that aren’t even friends, but they think we should be friends because they’re rich, too."

The pair have a 17-year-old daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, who was born the year after they got married.

Despite being married for 15 years, Salma revealed that she still faces criticism about why she tied the knot with her husband, having previously defended the claim that it was money-motivated on the Armchair Expert podcast in 2021.

The actress said: "When I married him, everybody said, ‘Oh, it’s an arranged marriage, she married him for the money.’

"I’m like, ‘Yeah, whatever, b****. Think what you want.’

"Fifteen years together, and we are strong in love.

"And I don’t even get offended, I’m like, ‘Yeah, whatever.’"
