Woman’s marriage lasts just one hour as husband commits ultimate betrayal immediately after saying 'I do'

An Australian woman has recalled her wedding day disaster live on a radio show, leaving listeners in shock - and there's a huge twist.

When you vow to marry someone you make the all-important oath to stick by them through rich and poor, sickness and health.

But for one unlucky woman, ‘til death do us part,’ actually meant wedding cake served with a side of heartbreak and betrayal, all by the same evening.

An Australian woman left radio listeners of Nova's Late Drive with Ben, Liam & Belle open-mouthed when she recounted her dramatic wedding day live on air on Thursday (May 22).

The bride, who simply went by Kylie from Melbourne, called into the show to spill the beans on being involved in one of the shortest marriages ever.

She explained: “I had a really short marriage. It wasn't even 24 hours."

Adding: “We got married and had a beautiful wedding. And he was gone for the reception. We had the ceremony, did the photos - he was beautiful during the photoshoot, he was the love of my life.”

However, things took a bizarre turn when the photos had been taken and the vows had been exchanged, as the most important part of the wedding disappeared - the groom.

Not letting her guests in on what had happened, Kylie put on a brave face and let the party continue.

“And then he just disappeared,” she explained, “I didn't hear from him for months.

“Everyone was fine to stay and party the whole night - but I went back to my room by myself.”

She revealed: “He didn't want to be with me. He was seeing somebody else [the whole time], but he let us get married.

“It was really hard, especially talking to family members [who called to ask about the new husband the next day] But we laugh about it now.”

Relatives only started to realise that the bride and groom hadn't sailed off into the sunset when they started to ring Kylie in the days following the wedding to ask how the honeymoon is going.

But after she was ghosted by her husband, there was another huge twist in the tale (Docinets Vasil/Getty Images)

As if it couldn’t get any worse, Kylie then dropped the soap-level bombshell that after being ghosted by her own husband, she later found out that the ‘other woman’ in question was her own cousin.

Kylie told listeners: “He's with my cousin now - he was cheating on me with her. I don't see him or my cousin. That would be really awkward.”

What makes the savage ordeal even more brutal is that the couple were together for six years before deciding to tie the knot.

But surprisingly, the Aussie has managed to find humour in the situation and even admitted her family won’t let her live it down.

She laughed: “My kids think it's hilarious - it's brought up all the time.”
