‘Bridezilla’ slammed after ordering friends to pay £4k for wedding after being dumped by fiancé

‘Bridezilla’ slammed after ordering friends to pay £4k for wedding after being dumped by fiancé

The jilted bride claims her day was ruined

A woman in the US has hit the headlines this week after demanding her bridal party pay for her cancelled wedding, after they allegedly made her day such a disaster.

According to a guest at the expensive soiree, the 29-year-old bride-to-be was supposed to tie the knot with her 34-year-old fiancé on Sunday 14 January.

The guest - who explained that she was one of the bride's college friends and was therefore a vital member of the bridal party - shared the controversial story of what exactly went down to warrant the wedding being called off last minute.

Opening up about the nuptial hell on Reddit, the anonymous guest explained to readers: "Now, from the start, this wedding has been a disaster. I'm going to just point out a few of the crazy stuff we dealt with."

She then claimed that the bride had firstly 'refused to invite my best friend - because she thinks we're lesbian lovers', before demanding each bridesmaid pay $2,000 each for their dresses for the big day.

The guest continued with her list: "Apparently, [the groom] couldn't invite any single females that were not blood relatives of him. So if he had any female friends, they were axed."

She went on to claim the bride had accused another member of the bridal party of being pregnant - in front of her religious parents - just because she doesn't drink.

The guest also alleged that the bride had 'tried to make us cancel our holidays with our families to instead go with her to a destination bachelorette party'.

"I work full-time even during holidays," she explained. "So, I told her that was not happening. More of the bridesmaids said similar things and she dropped it."

Following the rocky start to married life, the wedding drama all came to blows on the big-day, however.

I know, just when you thought this 'bridezilla' couldn't get any worse!

The guest claimed the bride had a 'meltdown' on the morning of her wedding after discovering one of the flower girls had chicken pox.

The bride had reportedly been a nightmare from the get-go.

"She was threatening to sue the mother unless she brought this sick three years old to the wedding," the post continued.

Apparently, the bride had 'constant outbursts' during the run-up to her ceremony, and even 'made people cry'.

"The MoH [Maid of Honour] deserves a medal for the amount of diplomacy and bulls**t control she had to do," the social media post went on.

"I for the most part took the easy route and decided to work outside the bridal suit like checking flowers, making sure food was okay. Basically any excuse NOT to be around bride."

And - just to top off this truly traumatising tale - the guest revealed that everything came to blows when the groom-to-be had discovered his bride 'having a quickie' with his UNCLE prior to the ceremony.

"I just stared at the MoH with my mouth pretty much about to reach the floor," the guest wrote. "She told me to run and that she was trying to get as many people out before things exploded.

"Apparently and rightfully, [the groom] called off the wedding, called her a few names, told off his uncle, and has since left with his mates to I hope have the biggest single man party ever."

What is arguably even more insane, however, is that rightfully jilted bride allegedly demanded that her bridal party - which included the Reddit writer - to pay her cancellation fees.

The cheek!?

"I obviously told her no and that she might as well lose my number," the guest explained.

"I am never speaking to this woman again. This has been pretty much the reaction of all bridesmaids and the MoH. By the way, MoH? [The groom's] older sister."
