A mum has taken to Facebook to reveal how Amazon's Alexa has helped her potty train her son.
Writing on the Motherload Facebook group, the woman explained how she uses the voice controlled assistant to make potty training fun - because as all parents know, it can be a long and difficult process.
Explaining potty training had been a 'nightmare', the mum explained how setting a reminder on her Amazon Alexa has been encouraging her son to use his potty.

"I have an echo dot (Alexa) in my kitchen. I ask her to set a reminder for every 40 minutes for '[my son] to sit on the potty'," she wrote.
"He thinks it's brilliant! It has been so successful and really helped with his potty training!"
The woman explained she rewards her son with a sticker, adding that finally she's starting to see some progress.
Other parents were impressed with the idea, with the post having hundreds of likes and comments and many calling it 'genius'.

One member of the group said she would definitely be enlisting the help of Alexa, explaining she had been trying everything to encourage her own child.
Another wrote: "Oooh this is an amazing idea. My daughter is three and a half and knows what to do she just chooses not to. But she LOVES Alexa so this might just work!"
While more parents agreed, with one explaining she was about to start potty training and would also be using the idea of the stickers, too.
"We'll be starting in the next few months and she's obsessed with our Alexa so definitely going to try this and the stickers," she said.

The Loose Women star, who recently welcomed her third child, took to social media and wrote that she wished she could "stop the clock" in order to enjoy every second with Rex, who she shares with boyfriend Joe Swash.
"It just feels like time is flying by faster than ever before," she wrote.
"He's started shuffling around, singing and saying 'Dadda' which is all so wonderful and exciting but I cant help but feel that I wish I could stop the clock for a little while and just make it all last longer."
Stacey is also mum to Zachary and Leighton from previous relationships.
