A woman on TikTok has shared an important iPhone tip for when you're travelling.

When heading off on a flight, it's pretty common for friends or family to want to track your journey.

Especially if they're picking you up from the airport, for example.

Now, one woman has shared a super easy trick for tracking flight information, without having to head over to Google.

Over on TikTok, @live_thedash explained that all you need to do is send a simple message to your contacts.

Simply send the airline and flight number in an iMessage, for example, 'Ryanair FR553' and whoever you send it to will notice a box pop up on the message window.

There are two options to choose from, 'preview flight' or 'copy code', but if the recipient selects the 'preview flight' option, they can then track your flight in real time.

There's even information on departure time, arrival time and flight duration, so they know exactly what's happening while you're up in the sky.

Other TikTokers were pretty blown away by the tip, with people calling it 'amazing' while one said: "Just found out about this a day ago and this is actually fire."

And a second added: "Seeing this omw to the airport. Thank you!"

Another added that it was a great way to 'stay safe'.

In other travelling news, Brits have been issued a warning if they're heading to Europe this year.

A common travelling misconception is that your passport simply needs to be in date in order to be permitted on a plane.

However, this is far from the case as many countries still require any globe-trotters to have a certain amount of time on their passport before they allow you in.

Citizens Advice says that anyone planning on flying to Europe should check their passport is valid for the dates they're travelling.

You’ll need to renew your passport if either:

  • There’s less than three months left on your passport at any time while you’re travelling - you can check your passport to find out when it expires
  • Your passport is 10 years old or more on the day you enter the EU country - you can count this from the date your passport was issued

You can also check if your passport will be valid for your trip on the official GOV.UK website simply by searching for the country you’re going to and clicking on ‘entry requirements’.
