A couple have completely transformed an unloved 1920s Essex house into a luxurious family home - and it's giving us all the interiors goals.
Mum-of-three Kayleigh Phillippo and husband Lee got the keys to their new property back in July 2017 and promptly applied for planning permission to create the house of their dreams.
By adding a two-storey extension, rear extension, and connecting the newly extended kitchen to a pre-existing garage and outbuilding, Kayleigh and Lee have created stunning, spacious rooms that are flooded with light.

The clever renovation gained the couple a whopping six extra rooms, the highlight being a bright and modern L-shaped kitchen and family room.
A year to the day after they first got their keys, Kayleigh and Lee moved into the property.
The pair have spent the past 3 years documenting their home improvements on Instagram account @newroad_newproject, from digging the foundations to installing state-of-the-art fittings.

Their Instagram venture has proved a popular, too - incredibly, the account has racked up 32.7K followers.
Kayleigh Phillippo told Tyla: "We got our keys 3 years ago on 7th July 2017.
"Following planning being passed, we started digging the footings in November 2017.
"8 months later, and unintentionally on this date, we moved in on 7th July 2018.

"So, it was amazing to be moving in exactly a year after getting our keys."
With three young boys to look after, Kayleigh is stunned that she and Lee managed to complete the renovation in the time they did.
"Our youngest was just 4 weeks old when we moved! Not quite sure how we did it!," she said.
"We did a side two storey extension, rear extension (part two storey) and we connected up the ground floor extension (kitchen) to the garage and outbuilding.

"This gave us a great L-shaped kitchen and family room.
"We also relocated the stairs to give a spacious hallway, it also meant giving us better sized and shaped rooms upstairs.
"The house was a standard 1920s house, and we gained the large family room, study, utility, playroom, a forth bedroom and an ensuite," she added.
The couple are thrilled with their final home, which has been a labour of love.

While they put in a lot of elbow grease themselves, the pair also made an effort to hire tradesmen who they knew personally.
Kayleigh said: "We did a lot ourselves, well not actually me, but my husband and my dad.
"With most trades, the people we used were friends.
"We loved the whole experience, and so glad I took so many photos to look back on."
