Good news for fans of the staple McDonald's Happy Meal - as it's getting a very special UK update across the North West and selected branches in the Republic of Ireland.

Customers of 187 McDonald's restaurants will be able to take advantage of this offer for a whopping 14 weeks from the 29 May.

There are four brand new items being added to the Happy Meal menu.

Happy Meals are around the £3.59 mark.

The Mayo Chicken, already a much loved Maccies item priced at £1.39, will now be available as a Happy Meal option.

There are also Fish Bites, a totally new item.

Customers can enjoy 5 bite-sized pollock pieces in a crisp panko breadcrumb coating and served with a choice of dip.

You will also be able to order 9 Fish Bites as a standalone item from the main menu for £5.79.

Next up is the flavoured milk as a drink option.

You can choose between Chocolate, Strawberry and Banana - all natural flavourings, no added sugar.

You can order a flavoured milk for £1.69 from the main menu.

And for those hot days, you might opt for a McFreezy. It's a frozen ice dessert made with fruit juice and puree.

They're available in flavours of Orange or Mango & Pineapple.

You can also order a McFreezy® from the main menu for £1.59.

Perfect for the little ones or a light bite!
