Flight attendant warns you’ll be judged if you order coffee on a plane

The flight attendant said that ordering the specific drink is 'sketchy'

A flight attendant has revealed the one drink that she would judge a passenger for ordering.

I'm sure we can all agree that time doesn't really exist when you're on a plane. Want an Aperol Spritz at 10am? Go for it. A bag of Quavers as the first meal of the day? Why the hell not.

With this in mind, flight attendants will have had all kinds of requests at random times of the day and, while they'll try not to judge you for it, this particular attendant admitted there's something she raises her eyebrows at when a passenger asks for it.

Taking to TikTok, Leanna Coy explained: "I always hear flight attendants talking about what your drink order says about you as a passenger or what drinks they'll judge you for ordering, and I realised that there's only one drink I'll actually judge you for ordering on the plane."

Going on to reveal exactly what drink that is, Leanna said coffee - but not just any coffee, decaf coffee specifically.

"I think we all know by now that ordering coffee on a plane is a little bit sketchy," she said. "You're going to be fine if you drink it. A lot of the pilots drink it."

Leanna went on to share: "I get it. You're tired, you're travelling and you need the caffeine. What are you gonna do? [But] you’re telling me you genuinely enjoy the taste of that airplane coffee so much that you’re willing to drink it - not out of the necessity for caffeine - just for the flavour itself?"

I mean, she has a point.

Leanna further divulged that her airline doesn't even serve decaf coffee, but people still ask for it.

She quipped: "I swear, every time someone asks for it and I tell them that we don't have it [...] people get so mad and I'm like girl, I'm doing you a favour. Why do you want this airplane coffee so bad?"

From what Leanna's saying, it might be best to hit up Costa or Starbucks in the airport if you're wanting a coffee during your travels.

But avoid having too much as there's a certain amount of caffeine you can have a day before it might cause health complications.

According to experts, drinking any more than six cups of coffee a day could prove problematic - and if you can afford that many drinks from somewhere like Starbucks, then I want to know what job you're in.
