If you apply cocoa body butter by scraping it out of the tub, we've got some alarming news - you've been doing it wrong.

Yep, many times we've used our nails to apply the moisturising butter, but there's actually an easier way to do it, and your minds are going to be blown.

You can watch how in the video below:

We can't believe we never knew this!

And other TikTokers were shook, with many taking to the comments section in disbelief, while others claimed the same directions are visible on the packaging.

One person commented: "Tiktok always be teaching me 😌."

While another said: "It literally says on the packaging to use it that way tho😅😅😅."

And a third added: "My life has just changed forever, there is no going back."

While a fourth wrote: "Actually says to do this on the tub I think that’s how I knew anyway was shocked when I done it."

Others had plenty of questions, with many wanting to know if the body butter fell off the lid, or if it stuck.

"It doesn’t fall off surprisingly!" The woman wrote, adding that it does stick to the lid.

We can also confirm that over on the Palmer's website, the body butter can be seen being applied using the lid!

In other beauty news, earlier this week we told you how one woman's request for lip balm during childbirth went horribly wrong when her boyfriend applied the wrong product.

TikToker @alisasilva took to the video sharing platform to explain how doctors and midwives thought she was having an allergic reaction - but really, it was just the result of an unfortunate mix-up.

And other users found the video hilarious, with many wondering how the boyfriend managed to get the product all over her chin, too.

You can read more on this disaster - and watch a video of the mix-up - here.
