People Outraged After Friend Plays 'Cruel' Prank On Bride Whilst On Her Hen Do

With "friends" like these who needs enemies?

A bride-to-be's social media post has sparked outrage and sympathy after she shared the 'cruel' prank one friend played at her hen do.

In a screenshot posted to Reddit the story reads: "So it was my hen night last night. Everyone was drunk my bridesmaid - also best mate was out with us".

Everything sounds pretty normal so far, but the post continues...

"I said I wanted to go home so my best mate walked me to the train station separating me from the group only to leave me at the station on my own drunk to then ring my other half and tell him I had gone off with another man."

What?

Luckily for the poor woman her partner didn't believe the friend.

"Just imagine if that one comment she made could of cost me my whole relationship" the bride continues, "she has not messaged me since and didn't even message last night to check I got back okay."

The post ends with the woman adding that she doesn't know what to do now as she gets married in two weeks but isn't sure she wants her 'best friend' as a bridesmaid, or even a guest.

Other Reddit users have commented their shock at the bizarre story, with one writing: "What the hell is wrong with that "friend"!?!"

Some have suggested that the so-called friend may want the groom for herself (

"The simple conclusion is the bridesmaid secretly wanted you to break up so she can get the groom. the behaviour supports it," suggested one user.

Another added: "The 'friend' wants the groom-to-be."

"Keep your friends close, and your true love’s fiancée closer." Added a third.

While many comments were sympathetic, some other users suggested that it might be the bride who's lying and not her friend.

One user writes: "I think it’s true and she’s making up this story to cover her tracks and make herself the victim."

"I don’t buy it. I’ve seen too many people throw scapegoats under the bus with these public accusations to cover their ass when they get caught cheating." Added another.

A third suspicious user wrote: "Seems likely she left with someone and needs to deflect the hOrRor oF CoNsEqUeNCes".
