An adoring pair of grandads have made sure their granddaughter will be well set up with money before she can even speak a word thanks to a £1 million home and a £5 million trust they've got for her.

It must be nice - even if the two-day-old has absolutely no grasp on the situation.

Millionaires Barrie and Tony Drewitt-Barlow have no problem spoiling their family, and Barrie was over the moon on 24 June when he announced that the newest member had arrived when their daughter Saffron gave birth.

Barrie, who is worth a hefty £200m, took to Instagram to announce the news, saying: "My girl had a girl of her very own today...

“Tony Drewitt-Barlow and I could not be prouder of Saffron Drewitt-Barlow and Conor Tucker for producing this little Princess for our family. Our first granddaughter and a new princess to spoil.”

The dad, who seperated from Tony in 2019, told Fabulous that he bought a house worth £1 million for Marina in the same weekend she was born, and he's already set about making it perfect for her.

"I’ve instructed a team of interior designers to go in and totally renovate it for her," he said.

"And as this is Tony’s first grandchild, he has set up a £5m trust fund for her, so she is already a multi-millionaire.”

Saffron's daughter is named after her husband's late mother.

The dad added that Saffron's brother Aspen has also treated the young newborn to a £5,000 Dior pram and pushchair.

Barrie made his money through various business ventures, including a trans-Atlantic surrogacy business and a global medical research company. In March 2021, he and Tony starred in Bravo's Below Deck: Sailing Yacht.

The pair share three children together: Saffron, Aspen, and their youngest, Orlando.

Saffron and her husband Conor decided to name their new daughter after Conor's mum, who passed away a few years ago.

Speaking of the tribute, Barrie said: “When they found out that she was having a girl, Saffron and Conor decided to call her Marina, after Conor’s mum...

“A fitting tribute to a lovely lady and a way to remember her every day. It made me cry when they told me. Born in the USA, Marina is American by birth and will have a dual nationality to the UK because of her dad.

“Saffron has been incredible, she has totally shocked me. Made me so proud. Her husband Conor has been there 100 percent for her, holding her hand all the way through it."

Barrie and Tony became known as Britain's first gay dads when they welcomed Saffron and Aspen in 1999.
