Thriller fans are 'counting the days' as the 'best show that no one knows about' has finally released the trailer for its upcoming second season.

The series in question first hit our screens back in 2022 and boasts a star-studded cast, including the likes of Adam Scott, Britt Lower, John Turturro and Christopher Walken just to name a few.

It didn't take long for Apple TV+ viewers to become totally obsessed with the nine-parter and it was a no-brainer when its near-perfect 97 percent Rotten Tomatoes score was announced.

Now, the plot of the series follows Mark (Scott) who is an employee of the fictional corporation, Lumon Industries.

He agrees to a 'severance' programme which sees his non-work memories being separated from his work memories meaning the 'non-work' version of themselves never has to work again while the 'work' version of themselves never has a day-off.

However, when a mysterious colleague appears outside of work, it begins a journey to discover the truth about their jobs.

Of course, the series is none other than Severance, and you check out the official trailer here:

Naturally, people are absolutely buzzing with the news with many rushing to social media to share their excitement, with one X user writing: "This might be one of the best shows that no one knows about...also known as the ENTIRE Apple TV catalog."

"We are counting the days!" quipped a second, while a third hit out: "WHY HAS THIS TAKEN SO LONG."

And a fourth praised: "Television is saved."

Amidst all the excitement online, others couldn't wait to voice their praise with the thriller.

"The only bad thing about Severance is it ends at some point. It is very under rated and the acting and the plot line is beyond the ordinary. 10/10," penned one fan.

A second urged: "Everyone NEEDS to watch Severance on Apple TV it is non negotiable it is the best TV I've seen in a LONG time."

"Oh I know I'm so incredibly late but I started Severance yesterday and just finished and this literally some of the best TV I've ever seen Apple TV you've done it again," wrote a third.

"Severance on Apple TV doesn’t get nearly enough of a mention, but it was brilliant and ended on such a good cliff hanger," gushed a fourth while a fifth echoed: "Damn, Apple TV's Severance is probably the show with the highest discrepancy between the show's quality (incredibly high) and how much it is talked about (inexcusably low)."

The second season of Severance will premiere in January next year (Apple TV+)

And a final X user added: "Dark, terrifying, brilliant, and a complete mind fk. Amazing cast and performances. Ben Stiller’s eye is perfect. Highly recommend..."

Severance season 2 will premiere on January 17 2025 on Apple TV+.
