Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man finally debuted on Netflix today, bringing the six-season-long story of the Shelby clan to an end.
The TV show first debuted all the way back in 2013 and kept fans gripped with twists and turns until it came to an end in April 2022, leaving everyone begging for more.
So, there's no doubt viewers were over the moon when creator Steven Knight announced that a movie set in World War II was in the works, with Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Birmingham gangster Tommy Shelby.

Barry Keoghan also joined the cast as Tommy's son, Duke, alongside Tim Roth as villain John Beckett and Rebecca Ferguson as love interest Kaulo Chirklo.
And a number of familiar faces also made a comeback, such as Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, and Packy Lee as Hayden Stagg, Ada Shelby, and Johnny Doggs, respectively.
But some fans have been left upset by the characters that didn't make a reappearance, so let's take a look at who was absent.
Lizzie Shelby (Natasha O'Keeffe)

One character who was noticeably absent from the movie was Tommy's second wife, Lizzie Shelby, played by Natasha O'Keeffe.
In the final season, we saw her marriage to the Peaky Blinder break down, and the character was last seen leaving the 'curse' of the Shelby family behind, taking her stepson Charles, whom Tommy welcomed with his first wife Grace, to start a new life.
One X user penned: "Lizzie Stark, I want you to know that we will never stop talking about you. This film may have moved on, but I never will."
While a second angrily wrote: "I’m not here for the Lizzie Stark Erasure lemme just say THAT."
Finn Shelby (Harry Kirton)

Tommy's youngest brother Finn (Harry Kirton) also doesn't make an appearance in The Immortal Man, after he betrayed his family in the series six finale.
One disappointed X user wrote: "Finn being a moron doesn’t change the fact that he was still part of the bloodline. Any return to that original Shelby fracture would’ve had more pull for me than Duke."
However, some fans have theorised that he could perhaps return as an antagonist in a future spin-off.
Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson)

Paul Anderson confirmed ahead of the movie's release that, sadly, he would not be returning as Arthur Shelby, making for arguably the biggest absence in the show.
Although his character does still have somewhat of an impact on the events of the film, I won't give too much away to those who haven't had the chance to watch yet!
Speaking of the movie, the actor told LADBible: “It doesn’t matter what we think of it, or what I think about it, or anyone for that matter. It’s about what the fans think, and if they don’t like it, we’re at the mercy of them.”
Alfie Solomons (Tom Hardy)

Another fan-favourite character who viewers were desperate to see make a comeback was London gangster Alfie Solomons, played by Tom Hardy. But unfortunately, it wasn't on the cards.
One X user wrote: "Really great movie, Peaky Blinders, even though I would've liked a Tom Hardy comeback."
While a second agreed: "I wasn't expecting much once I found out Arthur and Alfie Solomons don't feature."
Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin)

Oswald Mosley, played by Sam Claflin, was one of the biggest villains Tommy came up against.
However, despite never actually being defeated by the protagonist, he didn't come back for round two in the movie, to the disappointment of some fans.
Based on the real-life historical figure and fascist leader, he was a main character in the final seasons, leading many fans to believe he may be in the movie.
But as per Entertainment Daily, because the character was based on a real person, by the time the film takes place, his influence had already collapsed, so it makes sense that he wasn't in the storyline.
Gina Gray (Anya Taylor-Joy)

Anya Taylor Joy's Gina Gray was another villain who didn't return for The Immortal Man.
We last saw the character in the season six finale, 'Lock and Key,' where she supported her husband Michael's plot to kill Tommy Shelby, before he was killed by the gangster.
Linda Shelby (Kate Phillips)

Kate Phillips, who played Arthur Shelby's estranged wife Linda, was also missing from the film.
When asked by Radio Times if she'd be returning, Phillips said, "I'm not. There were discussions, and then it didn't pan out."
Isaiah Jesus (Daryl McCormack)

Finally, despite having quite a big role in the final season of the TV show, Daryl McCormack also didn't return as Isaiah Jesus.
The character was MIA, despite viewers last seeing him as a loyal Peaky Blinder under Tommy and Arthur.
