A warning has been issued to avid telly lovers as Netflix is set to stop working on many devices.
We know this is absolutely terrifying advice in the midst of a Bridgerton drop, but it's always best to be on the safe side.
If, like me, you watch Netflix through a built-in app on your TV you could be in for quite the shock.

Advert
Sony have issued some information that states 42 of its Bravia-branded TV's are going to be left unable to stream Netflix due to 'technical limitations'.
They added: "You can continue to use the Netflix app on your TV until July 23, 2024."
After then, the option will be removed from your 'Apps' menu.
The television affected are models made and released in 2014.
Despite it being worrying if your TV is one of those affected, don't panic.
There's no expectation that you need to go out and get another television.
There are ways around it.
For example, you can Chromecast a Netflix show by using your smartphone, invest in a Firestick to act as a third party streamer for Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer and more, or use a gaming console such as a PlayStation or Xbox to access the Netflix app and watch your favourite shows to your heart's content.

If you're wondering whether your TV from 2014 will be affected by the change, here's the full list:

Once you've figured out what your best course of action is and you're comfortably browsing Netflix again, remember to bear in mind that they came up with some pretty nifty codes to access a load of subgenres and carefully curated labels for TV and films.
They include, but aren't limited to Deep Sea Horror Movies (45028), Spicy Romance (81572628) and Steamy Romantic Movies (35800) and Lavish Reality Lifestyles (81418611).
