Fans are absolutely 'obsessed' with an Amazon Prime romance series that 'broke records' have just had their wishes granted as a second season has just been announced.

The six-part drama first hit our screens earlier this month (9 May) and it's clear viewers have already binged the entire thing, after it climbed to the streamer’s most-watched international TV show of all time in its very first week, and people are now eager for their next fix.

The series, which is based on Mona Kasten’s book, Save You, stars the likes of Damian Hardung and Harriet Herbig-Matten.

It follows Ruby Bell (Herbig-Matten) who witnesses a pretty 'explosive secret' at her private school.

As a result, the arrogant millionaire heir James Beaufort (Hardung) has to find a way of dealing with the quick-witted scholarship student 'for better or worse'.

So, what is this cracking series the globe is going wild for?

Well, it's none other than Maxton Hall — The World Between Us.

Check out the official trailer here:

Amazon MGM Studio’s VP of International Originals, James Farrell, said that the show 'once again proves that local stories have the power to captivate global audiences'.

"While we started off as a local production for the German market, Prime Video first built enthusiasm for our project internally and then shared it with the world. We are overwhelmed by the euphoric reactions," added UFA producer, Ceylan Yildirim.

It's clear fans won't have to wait much longer now for an update in the Maxton Hall drama as the German series has been renewed for another season and fans have rushed to social media to share their praise.

One X, formerly Twitter, user penned: "Ruby and James serving all my favourite tropes in only 6 episodes I'm obsessed I fear #MaxtonHall."

"I just can’t stop thinking about them, someone give me s2 renewal already #MaxtonHall," demanded a second.

A third chimed in: "Them doing all that in the hallways in public where anyone could walk by??? Truly unhinged, feral, and insane #MaxtonHall."

"We didn’t talked enough about the serve this scene was. The angst was at its peak, the chemistry was on fire and the acting on point #MaxtonHall," gushed another.

A final Twitter user added: "He needed her and his comfort but he saw her happy [and] didn't want to call her that killed me like crazy #MaxtonHall."

Maxton Hall is currently available to watch on Amazon Prime.
