Everyone’s favourite sisters are back.

Dark comedy Bad Sisters is returning to our screens for season two on Wednesday 13 November - and it looks to be well worth the wait.

Bad Sisters has long been one of our most loved series of all time and critics are nodding their heads in agreement. The first season scored an impressive 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and even bagged a slew of BAFTA nominations, with award-winning actress and producer Sharon Horgan at the helm.

In case you haven’t seen the cult series - erm, where on earth have you been? - the 10-parter is loosely based on a Belgian series called Clan. The comedy-drama kicks off at the funeral of Grace (Anne-Marie Duff)’s abusive husband John Paul (Claes Bang) and we quickly learn his wife’s four sisters despised him. Now, we're no detectives but much to our suspicions, his death wasn’t exactly an accident.

Cue a series of flashbacks, as the sisters plot to take down Paul, affectionately known as ‘The Prick’, and save Grace from the abusive marriage. But things get a tad messy when two insurance brokers rock up to investigate the claim in order to avoid a huge payout.

As though you didn’t already need an excuse to dash home from work, here’s a brief synopsis of what to expect from season two: ‘Two years after the accidental death of Grace’s abusive husband, the Garvey sisters may have moved no but when past truths resurface, the ladies are thrust back into the spotlight, suspicions are at an all-time high, lies are told, secrets revealed and the sisters are forced to work out who they can trust.’

Ooo.

The second instalment will of course see our favourite Irish sisters return with the addition of some new faces. Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), Owen McDonnell (also of Killing Eve fame), and Liz Fitzgibbon (Normal People) are all set to appear in the new season. TikTokers are particularly excited about Shaw's cameo, as one social media user wrote: "Fiona Shaw - this is going to be epic!!!"
