Viewers have been left feeling heartbroken for one Married at First Sight UK contestant after they were left fighting back tears with a shocking admission.

The Channel 4 reality show is famed for moments of high drama and tension - but often spotlights a person's more vulnerable side, too.

Love experts Paul Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas delighted viewers when matching hopeful singles Kristina Goodsell and Kieran Chapman, who seemed to hit it off right from the start.

The two exchanged vows and have since embarked on a honeymoon from heaven.

The fan favourites melted viewers hearts even more last night (30 September), as a conversation between the pair led to a devastating confession.

Kieran, a 29 year old mechanic, was asked by his new wife Kristina, 30, if she's 'too much' for him due to her personality.

She then tells him not to forget himself, to which he thanks her and responds: "I need to remember not to forget who I am.

"Cause it's took us a long time to get where I am."

Kieran's eyes then appear to brim with tears as he explains: "I used to live with my ex, and if I was home earlier from work than her she used to make us wait outside in the van so she could get a few hours peace before I got in.

He continued: "To hear someone who you love say that, that they want to be in the house on their own because you're too much, I don't ever want to feel like that again ever.

"It's not a nice feeling."

Kristina thanked her hubby for being 'so vulnerable.'

Kieran then focuses the attention on his wife, telling her: "I care for you a lot and you're not too much.

"You do you - you're a beautiful person."

Speaking directly to the camera after their exchange, Kristina says: "I feel like I am so open with my emotions.

"I really appreciate Kieran being able to feel so vulnerable with me.

"I feel like this is the first time I have actually seen that side to him."

Viewers were left completely shocked by the admission.

One person wrote on X: "Kieran’s ex actually made him sit outside for two hours before coming inside as he was 'too much' and she wanted 'chill time' actually wanted to give him a massive hug omg my heart."

Another said: "the 1st time i’ve ever cried watching mafsuk was at kieran talking about his ex,& him having to sit in his van because she said he was too much, and she wanted time alone. kieran you are beautiful inside & out! NO ONE should make you feel rubbish for just being you."
