Married At First Sight UK fans have called out Lacey's mum after the bride was forced to warn her over her four-word comment.

In a preview for Thursday's episode (30 October), MAFS UK fans were treated to yet another appearance from Lacey's mum in the upcoming homestays.

Lacey went back home to her mum, Maxine, and sister, Paige, alongside her groom, who helped them out with a spot of DIY.

It was here that Maxine took the opportunity to 'flirt' with her son-in-law while rubbing his shoulders.

Clocking the flanter, Lacey then warned: "Mum, stop flirting with my man."

"If only he was 20 years older," Maxine revealed while speaking to the camera before making a controversial four-word comment: "I'd snap him up."

After watching the scenes, fans rushed to social media to call out the comment with one X user writing: "Lacey's mum trying it on with Nathan..."

"Can’t see anyone making it through final vows, Nathan won’t want Lacey’s mum ogling over him at every turn," hit out another.

Another questioned: "So Lacey’s mum loves Nathan now?"

"Lacey’s mum has changed her tune. Wasn’t she crying over his banter the other day," added a final X user.

That Channel 4 viewer makes a fair point as, I'm sure you'll remember, the whole chicken fajita fiasco last time Nathan hung out with Lacey's family clearly shocked fans at home.

In-laws week proved to be a pretty dramatic one indeed, after Nathan finally had a sit-down meal with Lacey, Maxine, and Paige.

We watched on as Nathan met his bride's mum - who Lacey pre-warned to not engage in any 'banter' with.

However, it seems like Nathan ignored his Lacey's warning and made a light-hearted joke anyway, unknowingly landing him in pretty deep waters with his new in-law.

Now, Lacey's mum was cooking the pair a meal - chicken fajitas - when she asked Nathan to chop up the meat.

On account of him being a vegetarian, the groom politely declined, prompting Lacey's mum to reveal she'd 'never met' one before.

She later segued into questioning Nathan on his motives with her daughter.

After the meal, which Nathan didn't eat, he made a joke about the food being bad, which led to quite the reaction with Lacey's mum, breaking down in tears and calling her son-in-law 'rude'.

Lacey later had to address the situation herself following the backlash online, explaining on her Instagram story: "Hey everyone, wanted to clear a few things up.

"My mum did NOT know Nathan was vegetarian also she had no say in what we was eating, she was just told ur making fajitas!

"You need to remember it is edited for entertainment and to take it with a pinch of salt!"

Married at First Sight UK airs every Monday to Thursday at 9.00pm on E4.
