Married At First Sight UK viewers are in total disbelief at one groom’s ‘sister’ comment after meeting his wife for the very first time.

In the very first episode of the brand-new series, Channel 4 viewers eagerly watched on as the brides and grooms enjoyed 'one last night of freedom' while the first two couples wedded - Kieran and Kristina as well as Casper and Emma.

Now, while it would appear as if the first couple totally hit it off from the get go - viewers reckon things weren't so smooth-sailing for the latter.

Casper was pretty up front about how much he had a difficult relationship with his sister, yet viewers at home reckoned his new bride, Emma, was extremely similar to her.

The pair, that is Emma and Casper's sister Daisy, were practically two peas in a pod - matching laughs and all and fans rushed to social media to share their thoughts on the pairing.

One X user penned: "Nahhhh not the 'she reminds me of my sister' line #MarriedAtFirstSight #MAFS."

A second claimed: "Well Emma is a clone of Casper’s sister! Does he have a type?! #mafs #MAFSUK."

"Caspar just said Emma reminds him of his sister..." hit out a third, while a fourth chimed in: "The show is really pushing the boundaries this year by having this poor b*stard marry his own sister #MAFSUK."

A fifth quoted: "'She reminds me of my sister', 'Aww', 'Who I hate'. #MAFSUK."

"Not him bad mouthing his sister to his new sister in law #MAFSUK," pointed out a sixth.

Another echoed: "She reminds him of his sister and he hates his sister #MAFSUK."

Taking it one step further, a final X user added: "Emma reminds Casper of his sister, Emma and Casper’s sisters look alike, Casper’s sister’s husband looks like Casper, Emma has been described as being like Bridget Jones and Casper’s dog is called Bridget. I need a lie down."

I think we all do after that rollercoaster of an episode!

And that was far from the only drama considering we saw our first tears of the season just one episode in.

Kristina broke down into what looked like tears of sadness when she was told by her mum that her new hubby, Kieran, lived in a caravan.

These, however, turned out to be tears of joy in the end, so I guess we'll have to just stay tuned for the actual drama to unfold later this week.

The latest season of Married at First Sight UK premiered on E4 tonight (16 September) and will air every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9pm on E4.
