I’m a Celeb fans have been left baffled by what Jamie Lynn Spears says she’s best known for in her show intro, with many asking how she was able to keep a ‘straight face’.
This time, we’ve got the likes of Nigel Farage, Josie Gibson, Fred Sirieix, Sam Thompson, Frankie Dettori, Tony Bellew, Nick Pickard, Nella Rose, Danielle Harold, Marvin Humes and Grace Dent all heading to camp.
“I’m best known for being an actress and a singer,” she said.
"I have been doing it since I could basically walk.”
Her comments had a few people doing a virtual double take, with many admitting they ‘laughed’ when they found out what she was apparently ‘best known for’.
Sure, Jamie Lynn may be pretty well known for her acting and singing credentials, thanks to playing the lead role in Nickelodeon's Zoey 101 as well as Noreen Fitzgibbons in the Netflix series Sweet Magnolias, while also releasing a handful of singles.
But it seems many people are pretty confident that her biggest claim to fame is, of course, being the younger sister of Britney Spears.
One fan tweeted: “How’s Jamie Lynn Spears kept a straight face when explaining what she’s best known for.”
Another commented: “Jamie Lynn Spears… best known for being an actress and a singer? Lols. Lots of lols. You do you girl."
While a third said: “Jamie Lynn Spears saying she’s best known for being an actress and a singer? Oh how I laughed.”
Someone else wrote: “‘I’m best known for being an actress and a singer’, you’re really not though.”
Explaining why she decided to go into the jungle, Jamie Lynn said: “There is literally every misconception you can have on a person about me so I don’t take any of it seriously.
“But I do think going on I’m A Celebrity will be a nice way for people to see the real me. This is an opportunity to be myself and do something really cool and have some awesome experiences in the meantime.”
Jamie Lynn also admitted she was ‘scared of everything’ - which bodes well for us as viewers, but maybe not so much for her, adding: “Absolutely every one of these trials I am dreading. I haven’t looked at any of them and thought, ‘Oh cool, I could do that one’.”
