I’m A Celeb viewers believe they've worked out the 'real reason' why Dean McCullough snapped at Alan Halsall during a heated exchange in last week's episode (23 November).

It's clear that last week's viewing ruffled some feathers, with ITV viewers at home left pretty vexed after seeing Dean's 'sly' actions.

It all kicked off in the camp when Dean decided to take a nap on Danny's bed.

Now, regarding the sleeping arrangements, a new bed and hammock got delivered to the jungle prompting McFly singer Danny to immediately move into a bed after giving up his uncomfortable hammock.

In his confessional, he explained: "There was a brand new bed and a brand new hammock. So I went straight for that bed."

This seemed to rub BBC1 Radio's Dean up the wrong way after he asked Danny if he could move to the bed beside the camp's pests: "Danny, can you take that bed though, because it’s closer to the rats?"

Finally snapping, Danny hit back: "I’m not going near the rats, sunshine! I’ve slept near the rats all week!"

He then confessed: "Normally I don’t go out there and do things for myself like that, but I had to get it. I did not mess about today."

Despite all that, Dean went for a kip in Danny's bed anyway.

However, Corrie star Alan woke him up in order to help Loose Women's Jane Moore with a task, which somewhat thwarted his plans.

Attempting to wake up Dean, who appeared unimpressed, Alan said: "You don’t fancy it? No?"

Dean then snapped back: "Listen to me. If you’re gonna wake me up, you need to give me a minute, alright?

"It takes a couple of minutes for my contact lenses to get back working again, alright, so you don’t need to turn around to me and say, 'Do you not fancy it?' And then turn around and walk away."

Since then, I'm A Celeb viewers have rushed to social media to share their thoughts on the matter.

One Reddit user asked in a post titled 'Dean having ago at Alan': "Why did Dean stand over him like that. Dean was such a pr*ck for that.

"He didn’t need to speak to Alan like that."

Sharing their verdict on the matter, a second penned: "I get the impression he was sleeping in Danny's bed in the hopes that Danny would say 'don't worry Dean, you might as well take that bed now that you're comfy in it'.

"A sly way to get what he wanted after Danny refused. Thankfully it didn't pan out like that."

A third chirped: "100% was thinking the same thing. Like why was he napping in Danny's bed and not his own. Very sneaking of him in my opinion."

"I was thinking that exact thing!" penned a fifth.

Another theorised that the reason Dean later snapped at Alan is because he was napping on Danny's bed and he was hoping to stay on the bed so Danny would let him sleep there but Alan disturbed him, writing: "Yes, absolutely, I thought that too.

"For a 'morning person' who jumps out of bed to go to work, he really struggled to raise to the occasion must have been those contacts in his ears! Manipulative tick!"

And a final Redditer agreed: "Yes, that bed near the rat request was the most entitled, spoilt thing ever and then napping on his bed to try and coax it off Danny for himself.

"He needs weeding out. Spoilt, lazy and attention seeking sums him up."
