I'm a Celeb fans reckon Maura Higgins has just made a very big mistake, which could make the rest of her time in the jungle particularly unpleasant.

ITV viewers have absolutely been loving watching on as this year's batch of 12 celebs get pushed to the limit taking on all the weird and wonderful Bushtucker Trials Ant and Dec throw their way.

However, they haven't seemed all too happy with just how many trials BBC1 Radio DJ, Dean McCullough, has been voted to do - the number currently standing at six in total.

Ant and Dec seem to share a similar sentiment after issuing an urgent plea to people at home watching the show following some furious viewers even calling for a new rule change to ensure Dean wasn't voted up for a trial once again.

But, things seem to be taking a turn as we may finally get to see some other celebs take on a trial.

As revealed on I’m A Celebrity Unpacked, the public voted for Jane Moore and Maura Higgins who will find themselves braving their way through 'Fright at the End of the Tunnel' in tonight's episode (25 November).

However, fans of the reality TV show now seem to be convinced that the former Love Islander has just made the 'worst mistake' after making a very honest admission.

The candid statement came when she and the rest of her campmates tackled the Fright Bus trial when she queried: "Do you think there is gonna be bugs?"

"Oh no guys, I can't do that with the bugs!" she continued, while holding her head in her hands: "Oh no!"

Turning to her fellow contestants, she asked: "Do you think there is gonna be bugs? Do you think there is gonna be spiders?"

She then asked Barry McGuigan: "Are you good with bugs Barry? I'm not!"

Since then, fans have raced to social media speculating that Maura has just sealed her fate in being voted in for any bug-related trial moving forwards, with one Reddit user hitting out: "Maura just made the worst mistake by saying she’s not good with bugs. You already know she’s getting voted the most now."

A second chimed in: "Tbf she said in her VT she was shared of spiders. I didn’t think she would do the eating trial and she surprised me so maybe she might be OK."

"I think people are definitely looking for another target," theorised a third. "Dean is improving (or they're making it easier for him?) now and learning 'If I don't react, they'll vote less'."

Other I'm A Celeb fans have since rushed to Instagram echoing such sentiments with one writing: "About bloody time! Nice to see someone else doing trials.. good luck to these two. They’ll be amazing, I’m sure."

"YES YES YES. NO DEAN!!" exclaimed a second. "Finally getting to see others doing trials."

Another echoed: "Watch Maura become the new Dean after this one she will be doing every one after this one."

And a final Instagram user agreed: "Knowing how funny and good Maura will be in the trials I wouldn’t mind that tbh."
