Sofa critics all over have been absolutely loving the 'ultimate social experiment' that finally returned to our screens after the five year hiatus.

The eagerly-awaited ITV reboot of Big Brother premiered at the start of last (8 October), and introduced excited audiences to the house's 16 contestants - battling it out for a £100,000 cash prize.

However, it seems not every contestant is playing by the rules after Hallie and Olivia sneakily tried to speak in code about nominations by writing secret messages on each other's backs using their fingers.

The all-seeing eye has since punished a 'tearful' Olivia yet again, after she broke nomination rules for second time. Have a look:

The Big Brother household has been rocked by yet another rule break involving Olivia, Jenkin and Chanelle who got caught having a forbidden natter about who they were planning to nominate for eviction the next day.

Last night (7 November), fans watched the trio's conversation which saw Chanelle say, in reference to tomorrow’s nominations: "I’ll forgive but I’ll never forget when it comes to my friends."

She continued: "And for me it’s my best mate up for eviction."

"In a way, I needed to hear that because sometimes I can be a bit like where I just say something and someone..." Olivia replied, before being cut off by Jenkin who tried to shut down the rule breaking conversation.

As a result of the convo, Chanelle had her immunity revoked, thus once again allowing her to be nominated during this week’s nominations.

And as for Olivia, she was punished by having her nominating privileges revoked, as well as an additional punishment of having to write lines of 'I must not break the rules' 600 times for Big Brother.

The official Big Brother X, formerly Twitter, account shared: "Breaking news! Big Brother sees it all, including a recent rule break...

"As a result, Chanelle has had her Eviction immunity revoked, and another Housemate will suffer the wrath of Big Brother."

Since then, it's clear Olivia and Chanelle have not taken their respective punishments lightly.

In a conversation with Tom whilst nominations ensue, Chanelle said: "My main priority now is the fact that the house thinks I’m probably like a two-faced b*tch for just saying that my friends are my friends."

She went on: "I don’t want to be painted in a f*cking bad way for having my friends back, do you know what I mean?"

Olivia worked through her punishment, she started getting choked up with Matty coming over to comfort her

She told him while sobbing: "I’m being painted out to be the worst person in this place."

Matty then offered: "I’d be the first to say if you were painted out to a b*tch in this scenario but you’re not at all Olivia."

"I don’t think I’m going to change anyone’s opinions on me, we’ll put it that way Matty so I’m not concerned about that," she responded.

Olivia said the ordeal was 'winding' her up.

Some time later, as more of the housemates entered the garden, Olivia opened up some more about her punishment to Chanelle and Tom.

"When Yinrun got put in f*cking jail, I was the person out there singing, dancing and f*cking chanting but everyone’s happy to watch me write f*cking lines," she exclaimed.

"I am going on Friday, I’d rather take the f*cking control and walk out the f*cking door with dignity."

Chanelle attempted to calm her housemate down, telling Olivia: "You’re not going anywhere."

"It’s f*cking winding me up," Olivia concludes.

I guess we'll have to just wait and see whether Olivia will be facing eviction this Friday (10 November).

Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
