While it's hardly a surprise anymore when celebrities give strange or complex names to their babies, we can't think of any more ominous than US reality star Amy Slaton's choices.

In an exclusive clip now going viral online, the mother-of-two - whose sons are four and two - finally gives her reasons...

Amy and her sister Tammy shot to fame all the way back in 2020 when they were cast for the hit TLC series 1000-lb Sisters.

When the first season debuted, the duo weighed a combined total of over 453kg - or 1000-lb, if you're from across the pond -, hence the title of the series.

Not only did they have to battle severely reduced mobility on a daily basis, but they also endured countless, extremely painful secondary health conditions, including diabetes.

As well as focussing on their physical woes, however, the show heard Amy ceaselessly describe how much she hoped one day to become a mother.

It was ultimately this desire that spurred her and Tammy to change their lifestyles for good.

In the last four years, Amy has shed a staggering 136lbs as the result of a clean diet, regular exercise, and a gastric bypass surgery.

And as such, she welcomed two beautiful sons Gage, three, and Glenn, two, with her now-estranged husband, Michael Halterman, who also appeared on the show.

Only recently, however, have fans of the Slaton family learned what inspired Amy to choose rather ominous names for her sons.

In a clip from the upcoming instalment of the hit reality series, obtained by E! News this week, Amy could be heard explaining where the monikers came from.

"I name my kids after horror characters," she startled viewers.

And it turns out, she's telling the truth.

While Gage is apparently named after the murderous child in author Stephen King's eerie thriller Pet Sematary, Glenn was the name of plastic serial killer Chucky and his demonic bride Tiffany in the horror spin-off, Seed of Chucky.

The topic of conversation comes up in the forthcoming series as horror-fascinated Amy and Tammy take on a haunted tour of London, where she reportedly comes face to face with a 'cursed painting'.

The mother-of-two can be heard claiming, however: "I'll touch it, I ain't scared."

The news of her baby name choices comes just days after Tammy was forced to shut down rumours that Amy was once again pregnant.

The speculation first began circulating when Amy was arrested alongside a mystery man whilst at a safari park back in September.

Posting on TikTok last month, however, Tammy shut down the rumours.

"I wish people would stop spreading rumours but I’m here to tell you, Amy is not pregnant,” the exasperated star said.
