Netflix has been giving us countless gripping true crime docs as of late, and it's clear the streamer's not slowing down any time soon.

From a deep dive into one pretty 'sickening' catfishing case that lasted nearly a decade all the way through to the bombshell Menendez brothers doc, true crime lovers have been beyond spoiled recently.

And the latest one to add to your list is a brand-new 'heartbreaking' doc about Argentina's very first murder to actually be classed as a femicide - the killing of a woman or girl because of her gender.

The documentary looks into the horrifying 1990 murder of 17-year-old María Soledad Morales.

It explores the events which led up to Soledad's brutal death after she attended a party in Catamarca, a city controlled by powerful political figures.

Viewers are taken on a journey into the very crux of the case, which sparked protests across the nation and harboured widespread media attention, ultimately exposing the extremely seedy underbelly of political corruption.

The docu-film is none other than Breaking The Silence: The María Soledad Case ,and you can check out the official trailer here:

One X user penned: "The Maria Soledad Case on Netflix is a very good documentary about femicide."

A second urged: "Everyone should watch the new Netflix documentary on the Maria Soledad case—Argentina’s first murder to be classed as femicide."

"I watched the movie María Soledad: The End of Silence because I like documentaries/police shows, but I ended up crying because even after many years, the family did not have justice for the murder of their daughter," confessed another.

And a final X user echoed: "The film about María Soledad Morales released by Netflix is very good.

"Beyond the outrageousness of the case itself and how well it is told, the success is putting the point of view of the friends, it breaks your heart to see them together almost 35 years later. Great documentary."

Breaking The Silence: The Maria Soledad Case is currently available to stream on Netflix.
