Sharon Stone reveals why she has been celibate for ‘a long time'
Sharon Stone has revealed why she’s been embracing celibacy ‘for quite a while’ and is ‘bored with’ casual relationships during a new podcast appearance.
The 68-year-old Basic Instinct star delved into the topic on Mayim Bialik's Breakdown podcast on Wednesday (9 September).
When quizzed on what she’s like as a girlfriend, the actress explained: “I'm a really good girlfriend, but I haven’t been a girlfriend in a long time. And I’ve been a girlfriend to bad boyfriends, and I’ve been a girlfriend to good boyfriends.”
She added: “I’ve had good luck and bad luck and no luck at all. For quite a long time I’ve had no luck at all.

“I’ve been celibate for quite a while now because I’m just at the point where I really only want to be with someone that I care for.”
Stone elaborated that now her kids are all grown up, she wants someone to be a ‘companion, not just someone to have sex with,’ adding that she’s ‘kind of bored with that.'
The Oscar-nominated actress was also asked the big question of whether she thinks she’s experienced the ‘great love of her life’.
She replied: “I have had loves in my life, but I don't think I've had the great love of my life, no.”
Stone has been married twice, to journalist Phil Bronstein between 1998 and 2004, and producer Michael Greenburg from 1984 to 1990.
She adopted her eldest son, Roan, 26, in 2000 with Bronstein, and following their split, went on to adopt Laird, 21, in 2005, and Quinn, 20, in 2006.
Stone was also engaged to producer William J. Macdonald and actor Bob Wagner in the 1990s, but neither proposal led to a wedding, with both being called off before they tied the knot.
However, the actress hasn’t lost hope when it comes to her love life, and during the podcast appearance, spoke about visiting an eerily accurate psychic aged 23, who predicted her fame.
She said the mystic told her: “You're not going to meet your person until you're quite old, quite a bit older.
'And then they're going to be like you. In a way, you're going to identify with them. But it won't be until you're really quite a bit older, almost 70.”
And as if that wasn’t enough assurance, she added that another psychic later also gave her with the same prediction that she’d meet her partner when she was approaching 70.
The actress also confessed that she had bizarre visions following her 2001 health scare, when she suffered a near-fatal stroke and a nine-day brain hemorrhage.
She told the host: “When I was first home from the hospital, I couldn’t sleep at night and I was sleeping in the day. When I was laying on the couch, sleeping and awake, these orbs sort of presented themselves to me.
“These five orbs presented themselves to me and they sort of talked to me, but in a digital language.”
She claimed they gave her foresight into her eventual custodial battle over her son, Roan.
Stone added: “I just kept saying to them, ‘I don’t know if I’m supposed to stay here or if I’m supposed to die.’
“And they said, ‘You’re supposed to stay.’ And I said, ‘I can only stay if two of you will stay with my son. Because I don’t want him to be alone, and I think he’s gonna get taken from me.’”
