Netflix is clearly the place to go if you're after a series you can properly sink your teeth into.

Now, we already know all about the handy 'secret codes' to unlock hidden thriller genres on the streaming platform and have already rattled through the 'grim' horror that's 'not for the faint-hearted' so I'm sure we're itching for our next fix of some proper good TV that'll raise our pulses.

Well, you're in luck as Netflix viewers can’t stop watching a 'dark' new thriller series boasting an all star cast.

The six-part series, which dropped just last week (30 June), has already climbed to the impressive 'No. 1 in TV Programmes Today' spot.

It follows a puppeteer named Vincent who clings to his missing son's drawings of a blue monster puppet named Eric, convinced that if he can get Eric on TV then his son will come home.

Set in the 'dark underbelly' of '80s New York, a 'tenacious cop' tries to track down two missing children yet stumbles upon a Big Apple that's 'rotten to its core'.

A second penned: "Binge watched it all last night, me and hubby loved it, lots of twists and turns, some excellent acting, stick with it!!!"

An eighth warned: "Watching it now. Enjoying it but definitely not one for when the young kids are around. Very dark."

"Dark, weird and different," quipped a ninth while a tenth remarked: "Weird but loved it. Deep and meaningful. Sadly these things are happening every day."

And a final Facebook user added: "REALLY GOOD!!!!! ROLLERCOASTER THRILLER!!!"

Well that's definitely on to to-watch list this week.
