Written and created by Mark Marlow, Cleaning Up is a six-part series that stars Sheridan Smith as Sam Cook, a single mother and an office cleaner for Xenco Clean who resorts to insider trading to help sort out her money struggles.

Sam, who is drowning in debt as well as being addicted to gambling, is battling her ex-husband who's trying to get full-time custody of their two daughters.

But after overhearing a stockbroker who is being blackmailed into insider trading, she plunges herself into a seedy world of finance.

Joining Smith includes Jade Anouka as Jess, Sam's friend and colleague, Kristy Philipps as Alice Cook, Sam and Dave's 15-year-old daughter, Doc Brown as Blake, a Kramer Lowe stockbroker engaging in insider trading and Uriel Emil as Viktor, Sam's boss at Xenco Clean.

Fans of the series have since rushed to social media to share their praise and demands for their next fix, with one X user writing: "I hope that Sheridan Smith does another series of Cleaning Up! I watched the first series from 1-6 episodes and it was great to watch hope she does another series I was amazed by the drama!"

A second penned: "Omg Sheridan Smith please tell me they'll be a series two of Cleaning Up."

"Sheridan Smith, loved you in Tower Block and Cleaning Up, will there be part two of Cleaning Up?" asked a third.

A fourth gushed: "Finished watching the ITVX drama Cleaning Up with Sheridan Smith. Cracking viewing"

Cleaning Up is currently available to stream on Netflix.
