Brenda Song makes unexpected NFL career move but it has a lot of people confused
Brenda Song has added a very unexpected title to her résumé which has left people feeling confused.
The actress, best known for roles including The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Running Point, revealed she has a new role as an 'NFL colour analyst'.
No idea? Us neither, to be honest.
The star joined the Los Angeles Rams' broadcast during their preseason game against the New Orleans Saints on Saturday, Aug 22.

Song appeared in the booth during the third quarter alongside the Rams' broadcast team, putting her football knowledge to the test in a very different kind of television role.
And while plenty of fans were excited to see the longtime Rams supporter take on the challenge, others had a slightly different reaction to the news.
For it seems we weren't the only ones who thought she had taken on a new fashionista role.
An NFL colour analyst doesn't have anything to do with what shades the team should (or shouldn't) be wearing.
One fan wrote: "Not me thinking this meant she was gonna be on site helping people figure out if they’re a cool summer or a deep autumn."
Another echoed their confusion, confessing: "Not me thinking she's gonna analyse their colour seasons and tell them if they're a spring or a summer."
"Why did I think she would be telling them what to wear?" said another.
"Wait, that's not what it is?" demanded another commenter.
"I did think their colour scheme needed an update," joked someone else.
One particularly creative fan shared a mocked-up photo that made it look like she was figuring out what colours Travis Kelce should be wearing.
In the world of beauty and fashion, 'colour analysis' usually means figuring out whether someone falls into a seasonal palette like spring, summer, autumn or winter.
In the NFL, however, a colour analyst is the person providing expert commentary and analysis alongside the play-by-play broadcaster.
To be fair to the fans, her new job total does sound like someone who might be arriving with a rack of fabric swatches rather than breaking down a defensive play.
A colour commentator is basically there to provide colour, or interest, to what's going on.
The usual commentator tells you what is happening, the colour analyst tells you why.
She has been particularly vocal about her support for the Rams in the past.
Not only that, but she previously appeared in a Rams schedule-release video, and her football knowledge has become a recurring part of her public persona.
Song once also joked that her career goal was to become an assistant defensive coordinator.
So, while she may not actually be helping the players or fans determine whether they should avoid wearing red or whether navy is more their thing, she clearly knows her stuff about football.
During the Rams' 34-0 victory, Song got to call a dramatic moment, celebrating the play with an enthusiastic, "We're going home. Byeeeeeee!"
Whether this is the beginning of a new broadcasting career for Song remains to be seen, but fans were impressed with her debut, and she's clearly a woman of many talents.
We're off to watch more colour analysis TikToks and wonder what Travis Kelce should choose.
