A clip of Zendaya coming face-to-face with a recently-engaged Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco at last night's Golden Globe ceremony has well and truly set the internet ablaze.

The trio ran into one another during a break in the three-hour soiree last night (5 Jan) in the Beverly Hilton hotel, with fans describing Zendaya's response as 'completely terrified'.

Double Disney alumni Gomez and Zendaya were both amongst last night's major nominees.

Gomez, 32, was up for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in Emilia Pérez, alongside the likes of Wicked star Ariana Grande, The Brutalist star Felicity Jones, The Substance favourite Margaret Qualley and Isabella Rossellini for her role in Conclave.

However, it was her co-star Zoe Saldaña who walked away victorious.

The former child star also lost out to Hacks star Jean Smart in the Best TV Actress in a Comedy or Musical category, alongside Kristen Bell for Nobody Wants This, Abbott Elementary's Quinta Brunson, Ayo Edebiri star of The Bear and Agatha All Along star Kathryn Hahn.

It was also a night of losses for 28-year-old Challengers star Zendaya, who lost out in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy category.

The accolade was given to The Substance frontwoman Demi Moore, with Anora's Mikey Madison, Wicked's Cynthia Erivo, and Emilia Pérez star Karla Sofia Gascón and Nightbitch's Amy Adams also missing out.

Despite the pair's defeats, they still went on to have viral moments - especially Zendaya, whose hysterical reaction to seeing Gomez' fiancé Benny Blanco has hit headlines around the world.

As we say, it was during a break in the festivities that the trio essentially bumped heads, after Zendaya got up from her seat to mingle.

In a clip recorded by the Hollywood Reporter and shared on X, Gomez and Blanco - who announced their engagement on social media last month - could be seen creeping up on the former Shake It Up star whilst her back was turned.

Zendaya eventually notices musician Blanco, 37, with her eyes visibly widening and her flashing a nervous smile in his direction in a reaction that has kept viewers in hysterics.

Resharing the video, one social media user wrote: "Zendaya being completely terrified staring at Benny Blanco at the Golden Globes is sending."

Another joked: "Her face always says what we’re all thinking."

Alongside a stream of crying-laughing emojis, a third laughed: "Stop!"

Another teased: "She is Virgo - her face is always mean to be like that."
