Victoria’s Secret Angel Jasmine Tookes has brutal response to viral clip of her struggling on catwalk
Supermodel Jasmine Tookes has spoken out after a video of her struggling with the weight of her Angel wings at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show went viral.
The 35-year-old American fashion model strutted down the Los Angeles runway wearing a neon yellow and pink bra and matching teal and pink lacy underwear, covered with a sequined mini skirt.
Like all of the VS models, Tookes had her iconic pair of Angel wings on her back, with hers being bright pink with tinsel.
However, a clip circulating from the show, shared by Page Six, shows the model struggling with their weight, as she turned to a nearby camera, motioned to her wings, and mouthed: “So heavy”.

Addressing the moment directly in the comments section, Tookes wrote: “Oh my god lol. This is awful..you caught me on the way back when I was almost off the stage…Gave it my all going to the camera if you watch the real show.”
While the official Victoria’s Secret Instagram account added: “This just goes to show how STRONG our angels are! Still looking flawless, @jastookes.”
Meanwhile, other fans also jumped in to defend the model, with one social media user writing: “Y’all, these wings are like 50 pounds PLUS! And they are wearing heels! This is NOT EASY.”
A second agreed: “OW! I’m shocked by some of these rude comments to a VS LEGEND! If you’ve never watched before, just say that…Jasmine Tookes has ALWAYS slayed. The wings are HEAVY & Google is free to see her actual walk smh.”
A third penned: “God! People are truly something. I was just thinking how heavy those wings were, and she was probably telling someone as she walked by just as a human nature and here we are, everyone and their mama’s judging.”
And a fourth questioned: “Why post this video of the queen when her walk was phenomenal going down? She’s literally walking off stage in this.”
Tookes is a Victoria's Secret legend; after she first became an Angel in 2012, she was given the honour of wearing the Fantasy bra in the 2016 fashion show in Paris.
This year, that privilege was given to Kylie Jenner, which sparked mixed reactions from VS fans, given that 2026 was also her debut as an Angel.
The iconic Fantasy Bra is the centrepiece of the show and has historically been worn by Victoria’s Secret veterans, such as Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks.
This year’s dazzling, diamond-encrusted edition, which is also the most expensive to date, is worth $50 million and was sported by the reality TV star.
It prompted some backlash, as some fans felt that the honour, which is part of a tradition that’s been ongoing for three decades, should have gone to one of the original Angels.
However, Victoria's Secret chief creative officer Adam Selman told Vogue that Jenner was handpicked for an important reason.
He explained that the Kardashian sister is a ‘cultural powerhouse’ who ‘extends beyond fashion, beyond culture, beyond TV, beyond one singular thing’.
Selman told the publication: “That’s the exact same thing that we do. Like, the show is so big, it’s true entertainment, and I think that she is a great catalyst for that.”
“She’s really created her own culture, which - how many people can say that? I think it’s an interesting pairing that we’re giving the fans: we’re giving them what they want with this amazing Fantasy Bra, and we’re going to put it on an unexpected talent who has a massive following and massive cultural impact. I think it’s fun. I think it’s really joyful, and I think it’s fun to celebrate in a different way that people aren’t going to expect.”
